Two people were injured Monday when a driver disregarded a stop sign and drove into the path of an oncoming vehicle at the intersection of Carswell Avenue and Garlington Avenue, said Waycross Police Capt. Tommy Cox.
Both drivers, David Mann, 56, of Brunswick, and Anita Musgrove, 55, of Waycross, complained of injury, Cox said, but neither was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Mann was charged with a stop sign violation, Cox said.
Driving a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu, Mann was southbound on Garlington Avenue approaching Carswell Avenue. Cox said Mann failed to stop at the stop sign and drove into the path of Musgrove’s 2004 Ford Explorer as she was headed west on Carswell Avenue.
After the initial collision, the Musgrove vehicle overturned one complete turn, coming to final rest on its wheels, Cox said.
Officer Derrick Cobb investigated the 2:34 p.m. accident.
