Lee ‘Bud’ Ricketson
Lee Ovin “Bud” Ricketson, 78, of Blackshear, passed away Jan. 22, 2019 in Waycross following an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 19, 1940 in Millwood to the late Lee Ottis Ricketson and Sula Mariah (Murphy) Ricketson.
He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
He retired from CSXT Transportation in 2001 after 42 years of service.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frankie Ricketson.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruby T. Ricketson, a son, Rick (Brandy) Ricketson, a daughter, Connie (Shawn) Smith, five grandchildren, Tatum Ricketson, Sam Ricketson, Layne Ricketson, Reid Smith, Reegan Smith, a brother, Johnny Ricketson, two sisters, Florence Sweat and Betty Foskey, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral will be held Friday at noon at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Stone and the Rev. Richard Golden officiating.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 217 Carter Avenue, Blackshear, GA 31516.

Loyce W. Warden
Loyce Wainwright Warden, 87, died early Wednesday (Jan. 23, 2019) at Memorial Satilla Hospital following an extended illness.
She was a native of Ware County and had lived most of her life in Ware County.
She was the wife of the late Kenneth H. Warden Sr. and a daughter of the late James Harvey Wainwright and Nena Mae Anderson Wainright. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, J.H. “Joe” Wainwright and Robert Wainwright.
She entered school at the Millwood School and was a 1948 graduate of Waresboro High School. She immediately entered nursing school at the Macon Hospital School of Nursing in Macon, graduating with a nursing degree in 1951. She received training at the Veterans Hospital in Dublin.
She was a registered nurse and former nursing supervisor in the labor and delivery department at Memorial Hospital.
She initially retired in 1993 and later returned to nursing from 1996 until 2003 at Satilla Regional Medical Center. She assisted in delivering newborn babies and nursing mothers for three generations.
At the age of 12 she joined the First Pentecostal Holiness Church which met in the Happy Hollow Community and later became Bible Heritage Church on Albany Avenue. She was a member of the Joy Makers and had served as president of the Women’s Ministry at Bible Heritage Church.
She was also a member of the Domino Divas, the Merrymakers of Central Baptist Church, the Gutsy Grannies exercise group of First Presbyterian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include five children, Jeffrey E. Warden (wife Terry V.), Martha Tillman (husband Joe), Lisa McLaughlin (husband Buddy), Melanie Crews (husband Van Sr.), all of Waycross, and Kenneth Warden Jr. (wife Deborah), of Columbia, S.C.; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey A. Warden, Amy Stone (husband Randall), Anna Saxon Wall (husband David), T.J. McLaughlin (wife Brandie), Christopher McLaughlin, Reva Clemons, David Warden and Rachel Warden; eight great-grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, Mary Theo Wainwright, of Dublin, Joan Smith, Karen Receveur (husband Joe) and Donna Dazey, of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother-in-law, Phillip Shipley, of Bull Shoals, Ark.; an aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bible Heritage Church.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Members of the Joy Makers of Bible Heritage are asked to gather at the church at 10:30 Saturday to serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Music Funeral Home.

Joseph Bagley Cribb Sr.
A funeral for Joseph Bagley Cribb Sr. was held Wednesday afternoon at Bible Heritage Church with the Rev. Danny Callahan, the Rev. Phil Patterson, the Rev. Orren Simpson and the Rev. Christian Walker officiating.
Burial followed in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brent Cribb, Keith Patterson, Kelly Patterson, Hunner Ragan, Tylee Ragan and Zack Walker.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Joy Makers of Bible Heritage Church.
Military rites were provided by a contingent of the United States Army.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
