Mildred P. Hamilton
Mother Mildred Purnell Hamilton, 83, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ Monday morning (March 21, 2016) at her residence in Waycross surrounded by her family.
She was born July 29, 1932 to the late Leonard Davenport and Irene Purnell Mayfield, of Lamison, Ala. (Wilcox County). She was a virtuous, devoted, homemaker woman of God, a Proverbs 31 woman. Her spiritual works speaks for her. A faithful mother and missionary member of St. James Holiness Church under the leadership of Pastor Bessie James, she had many positions in her lifetime which were all for the glory of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Jake Hamilton; her parents; two sisters, Geraldine Fletcher and Dorothy Moore; one brother, Lenzy Clark; and one great grandson, Mikel Anthony Fisher.
Those left to cherish her memories include one daughter, Evangelist Martha Ann Hawkins; three grandchildren, Pamela Trapp Bailey, Glenndale Clark, Jerreka Hawkins; two great-grandchildren, Bobby Bailey Jr., Paris Simone Bailey, who was known to her great-grandmother Hamilton as “Doll”; one sister, Ethel Bell (husband Morris), of Hahira; three brothers, David Clark (wife Mary), of Waycross, Bobby Clark (wife Shirley), of Hahira, Wilbert Clark (wife Ocie), of Waycross; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at FaithWorks Church of God in Christ on Effie Street. Burial will follow in Hazzard Hill Cemetery.
The body will lie in state on Saturday at the church from 1 until 2 o’clock.

Dorothy S. Reeves
Dorothy Frances Spell Reeves gained her Heavenly wings Monday (March 21, 2016).
Born March 12, 1951 to the late Amos and Dot Spell, she spent most of her life in Waycross. She was also preceded in death by a brother, David Amos Spell, a grandson, Justin James, and great-grandson, Mason West.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Dale Reeves; a sister, Linda Dean (husband, Dennis); two daughters, Anita Johns (husband, James), Danielle Sapp (husband, Roy); three sons, Carl West (wife, Sam), Jay West (wife, Tonya) and John Van Winkle; 11 grandchildren, Jim Aaron West (wife, Stacia), Casey Johns (wife, Megan), Kayla Nose (husband, Danny), Marlena West (husband, Brian), Jeffery Bovee, Hannah West, Cassie Johns, Nathaniel Bovee, Jaylyn West, Katie Sapp, Logan Bovee; eight great-grandchildren, Wesley West, Christopher Johns, Carter Johns, Oakley Johns, Ellie Youngblood, Kadince Nose, Axel Johns, Cameron Womack; a bonus daughter, Laila James (husband, Kevin); a bonus grandson, Cody James; and several nieces and nephews that she held close to her heart.
She was a member of White Hall Community Church where a memorial service will be held in her honor Thursday at 4 p.m. with Pastor Marlon Pittman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice Satilla Hospice House.

Wayne R. Osburn
Wayne R. Osburn, 79, died Tuesday (March 22, 2016) evening at Hospice House Satilla following an extended illness.

Kathy Morrison
Kathy Morrison, 55, of 894 Coachman St., passed away Tuesday (March 22, 2016) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross.
The family is receiving friends at the residence.

Clyde D. Walker
BLACKSHEAR — The funeral for Clyde D. Walker, 94, was held Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock at the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Officiating was the Rev. Irvin Rozier.
Interment was in the New Home Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Billy Walker, Danny Bell, Richard Walker, Stacy Walker, Steve Walker and Clyde Johnson.
Pearson-Dial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James ‘Trey’ Manders
A funeral for James Trevor “Trey” Manders was held Tuesday afternoon at Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Raymond Willis and the Rev. Shirley Beverly officiating.
Burial followed in Indian Mound Baptist Church Cemetery in Millwood.
Pallbearers were Shawn Lovell, Roland Williams, Curtis McVeigh Jr., Corey Piazza, Aaron Hensley and Hunter White Eagle.

A funeral for the Rev. Billy H. Ring was held Tuesday evening at Music Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Capps, the Rev. Buddy Griner, the Rev. Carlton Rowell and the Rev. Jerry Brown officiating.

Fannie Marshall Morris
The funeral for Fannie Marshall Morris, 93, of Blackshear, was held Saturday, 3 p.m., at Scott Chapel United Methodist Church.
Burial followed in the Shiloh Cemetery on Moore Street. Pastor Vicki Scott gave words of comfort.
Rainge Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements and services.

Cynthia Evette Boyd
The funeral for Cynthia Evette Boyd, 53, of Waycross, was held Saturday at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial took place in Oakland Cemetery. Pastor Stevens brought words of comfort to the waiting congregation.
