Stephanie Wainright
JESUP — Stephanie Lynn Manning Wainright, 49, of Jesup, passed away Monday morning (March 14, 2016) at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Jesup, she was the daughter of the Rev. Wayne and Dianne Lewis Manning Sr., of Jesup. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Corbett and Ethel Manning, her maternal grandparents, Spencer “Bunt” and Evelyn Mobley Lewis, and her mother-in-law, Louise Wainright.
She was a system administrator for Pierce County Health Department for many years and a member of Riverside Chapel Baptist Church.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend who loved singing, hanging out at home, working with her flowers, spending time with her family and just loved helping and being around people.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, the Rev. Randy Wainright Sr., of Jesup; a son, Randy “Liston” Wainright Jr. (Torie Johns), of Jesup; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kandace Dianne Hickox (Eric), of Martin, Ga., and Spenser Lynn Wainright, of Jesup; a granddaughter, Stella Louise Wainright, of Jesup; her parents, the Rev. Wayne and Dianne Lewis Manning Sr., of Jesup; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne “Rooster” Manning Jr. (Debbie), of Jesup; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sheila “Bug” Brockington (Donald), of Jesup, and Becky Giddens (Josh), of Folkston; her maternal grandmother, Bonnell Lewis, of Jesup; several special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening starting at 6 o’clock at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church.
The service will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne “Rooster” Manning Jr., the Rev. Don Patterson, the Rev. Kipp Manning and the Rev. Charles Florey officiating. Burial will follow in Manningtown Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Corbett Brockington, Kyle Giddens, Cole Giddens, Jake Brockington, Darwin Lewis, Christopher Harris, Drew Harris and Brian Lee.
Honorary pallbearers will be her present and former coworkers of Pierce County Health Department and the staff of Hospice of Georgia.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

Evelyn Carol Bowen
Evelyn Carol Bowen, 57, died Monday morning (March 14, 2016) at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla., following a short illness.
She was born in Ocilla and lived in Waycross all of her life. She was a homemaker.
She was a daughter of the late John S. Bennett. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Eck Bennett, and a sister, Shirley Hargraves.
She is survived by a daughter, Kristian Smith, of Waycross; a son, Dustin Bowen, of Waycross; two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Shelby; her mother, Alene Davis Bennett, of Waycross; five siblings, Roy Bowen (Marlene), of Waycross, Bill Bowen (Barbara), of Waycross, Lawanna Booth (Everett), of Waycross, Joe Bennett (Sonya), of Waycross, and Jonathan Bennett, of Alma; a special niece, Brandy Bowen, of Alma; and a special nephew, Brandon Hutto, of Alma.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Music Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends Thursday morning at the funeral home from 10 until 11 o’clock.

Carol Ann Adams Massey, 70, of Blackshear, died Tuesday (March 15, 2016) at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House after a brief illness.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Miles-Odum Funeral Home.

James Robert Perritt
James Robert Perritt, 73, died Tuesday morning (March 15, 2016) at Coffee Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. He served in the United States Army and was co-owner of Perritt Tractor Service.
He was a member of West Carswell Baptist Church.
He was the son of the late Lonell Clinton Perritt and Edith Lavina McQuaig. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Lonell Perritt and Raymond Monroe Perritt.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Hayes Perritt, of Waycross; one son, James David, of Waycross; one daughter, Gina Robyn, of Waycross; three brothers, Thomas Lewis Perritt (Sylvia), Joseph Clinton Perritt (Barbara) and Daniel Lee Perritt, all of Waycross; two sisters, Edith Nell Schmidt, of Social Circle, and Doris Faye Rutland (Jim), of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Music Funeral Home Chapel.
Memorialization is by cremation.

A graveside funeral for Jerry Alvin Brooker Sr., 72, of Blackshear, took place Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in Waters Cemetery in Blackshear with the Rev. Kathy Palmer officiating.
Hart Funeral Home of Blackshear was in charge of arrangements.
