Charles Daniel Orange
MIAMI, Fla. — Charles Daniel Orange, 74, of Miami, Fla., passed away Sunday (Feb. 17, 2019).
Born in Waycross June 22, 1944, he lived in Waycross and graduated from Center High School.
After high school, he relocated to Miami, Fla., where he became employed with Seaboard Coast Line (now CSX) Railroad and then to Amtrak. He retired after 32 years.
He was the son of Alice H. Orange, of Waycross, and the late Daniel Orange.
He is also survived by his wife, Dorothy Orange, and two sons, Charles Orange Jr. and Jerome Orange.
He was the oldest of five brothers and four sisters, Fred (Roberta) Orange, New, Jersey, Barbara (Artis) Roach, Waycross, Doyle (Margaret) Orange, Toronto, Canada, Susie (Stevie) Henderson, Rochester, N.Y., Blondie (Jimmy) Orange, Rochester, N.Y., Dan Orange Jr., Waycross, Margarette Kemp, Miami, Fla., Jerry Orange, Atlanta, and Jimmy Orange, Atlanta. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 10 a.m. at Bethany Church, 2500 N.W. 50 St., Miami, Fla.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Royal Funeral Services, 17475 N.W. 27th Ave., Miami Gardens, Fla. 33056.

Rev. Gene Hughes
AXSON — The Rev. Gene Hughes, 74, of Axson, passed away Wednesday (Feb. 27, 2019) at his home in Axson, following an extended illness.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff Hughes (wife, Sandra), of Willacoochee, and Allen Hugh (wife, Amy), of Ambrose;  a brother, Ronnie Hughes (wife, Joyce), of Brunswick; two sisters-in-law, Louise Shaw, of Brunswick, Cathy Browning (husband, Morris) of Douglas; a brother-in-law, Yancy Morris (wife, Roz), of Birmingham, Ala.; four grandchildren, Sara Hughes, Harrison Hughes, Noah Hughes and Daniel Hughes; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Union Hill Congregational Christian Church in Pearson, with the Rev. Eric Grissino officiating.
Visitation will be held Saturday at Union Hill Congregational Church from 2 p.m. until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Bethany Hospice House.

Betty Hayman Goble
A funeral for Betty Hayman Goble was held Thursday afternoon at Music Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Derwin Griffin officiating.
Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bucky Goble, Ryan Goble, Travis Hayman, Bran Lee, Glenn Lee and Zack Wilson.
His great-grandsons served as honorary pallbearers.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Buffie Guyton Ellis
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Buffie Latrelle Guyton Ellis, 48, of Gainesville, Fla., formerly of Blackshear, passed away Wednesday evening (Feb. 27, 2019) at North Florida Medical Center in Gainesville.
