One person was slightly injured Monday in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Albany Avenue and Pendleton Street, said Waycross Police Capt. Benji Hersey.
Herman Carter, 76, of Knox Road, Nahunta, sustained a cut on the top of his head but was not transported to a medical facility for examination or treatment, said Hersey.
Driving a 2002 Ford F150 pickup truck, Carter was headed north on Pendleton Street and stopped at the stop sign at Albany Avenue. Hersey said he believed the intersection was a four-way stop and drove into the path of a 2006 Freightliner driven by Michael Fuller, 52, of Fuller Road, who was headed west on Albany Avenue, said Hersey.
Carter was charged with a stop sign violation.
Officer Donna Waters investigated the 1:26 p.m. crash.
