Alan Jack Davis, 66, died Tuesday afternoon (May 31, 2016) at his residence following an extended illness.

Carolyn H. Godwin
BLACKSHEAR — Carolyn Lucille Hickox Godwin, 76, of Blackshear, passed away early Tuesday morning (May 31, 2016) at her residence following an illness.
Born in Hoboken March 27, 1940, she lived most of her life in Pierce County. She loved to make dolls, sew and any type of craft work.
She worked many years in housekeeping at Baptist Village and was a member of Southgate Baptist Church.
She was a daughter of the late Archie Hardy and Idell Gunter Hickox.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, R.L. Godwin, of Blackshear; two daughters, Karen Peacock (husband, Mike), of Blackshear, and Violet Johnson (fiancé, Lee Mills), of Waycross; five grandchildren, Justin Peacock, Storm Peacock, Jonathan Goodin, Dylan Johnson and Hannah Johnson; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annette Wood, of Waycross, and Jacklyn Jones (husband, Bill), of Waycross; several nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.
The funeral will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday morning at the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Interment will be in the Blackshear City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o’clock this evening at the funeral home.

Blanche O. Mallory
A funeral for Blanche Owens Mallory was held Tuesday morning at Music Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Michael-Angelo Jones officiating.
Burial followed in Moore and Lee Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tommy Bess, Terrell Hart, Cedric Jones, Julian Mallory, Johnny Owens and Antony Thomas.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
