Gary Gene Morris
Gary Gene Morris, 74, of Toccoa, passed away Thursday (Jan. 24, 2019) at his residence.
A son of the late Postell and Carrie Lou Garmany Morris, he was born July 2, 1944 in Walker County. He lived in Toccoa the last 14 years.
He was a retired self-employed wall paper hanger and a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Shirley Bagley and Billy Morris.
Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Morris, of Blackshear, son and daughter-in-law, Eric “Bo” and Phyllis Morris, of Toccoa, two grandchildren, Braden and Audrey Morris, a brother, Frank Morris, of Lafayette, Ga., and the mother to his children, Geraldine Boyett Morris of Blackshear.
A private visitation will be held Sunday in Toccoa.

Adrian Arnold, 13, died Friday afternoon (Jan. 25, 2019) at his residence in Waycross following an extended illness.

Kennith Gerald Drew
NAHUNTA — Kennith Gerald Drew, 69, of Nahunta, passed away Thursday afternoon (Jan. 24, 2019) at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Brunswick, his parents were Hubert L. Drew Sr. and Phoebe Duggan Drew. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Louise Wainright, and father-in-law, Lloyd Wainright.
He served in the United States National Guard and was a pipe fitter for UA Local 177 of Brunswick.
He was a member of Riverside Chapel Baptist Church and loved playing with his grandson, fishing, watching Georgia Bulldog football and being around people.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Wainright Drew, of Nahunta; a daughter and son-in-law, Stacie and Matt Brooker, of Nahunta; a grandson, Colt Brooker of Nahunta; three brothers and sisters-in-law, H.L. and Martha Drew Jr., of Brunswick, John H. and Sandra Drew, of Baxley, and Gary Drew, of Brunswick; two sisters, Marion Kitler and Carolyn Hardwick, both of Brunswick; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held this evening starting at 6 o’clock at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Wainright and the Rev. Edward Colley officiating.
Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Harris, Drew Harris, Devin Harris, Zach Tatum, Todd Drew, Brian Drew, Brian Lee and Liston Wainright.
Honorary pallbearers will be UA Local 177 of Brunswick and Med Staff Nursing Service.
Pallbearers are asked to be at the church Sunday by 1:30 p.m.
