HOBOKEN — A Hoboken man was injured Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision on Blue Jay Road at its intersection of Eastwood Road, said the Georgia State Patrol.
Joshua O’Steen, 21, was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross for treatment after the 4 p.m. crash, said Amanda Dixon, GSP Waycross post secretary.
O’Steen, driving a GMC Sierra, was northbound on the wrong side of Blue Jay Road as he approached Eastwood Road, Dixon said, as a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Whitney Bachman, 29, of Hoboken, was eastbound on Eastwood Road and was making a turn onto Blue Jay Road.
Finding O’Steen on the wrong side, Dixon said, Bachman took evasive action but was unable to avoid the collision.
Bachman was not hurt, nor was her passenger, Marcus Dreggors, 25, of Hoboken, she said.
O’Steen was charged with driving on the wrong side of the road and violation of the seat belt law, Dixon said.
Trooper Jeffery Robinson was in charge of the accident investigation.
