A Waycross woman was arrested Wednesday for the theft and fraudulent use of a financial transaction card, said Ware County Sheriff Randy Royal.
Sheila Outler, 51, of Riverdale Drive, was charged with felony transaction card theft and fraud, Royal said. She was arrested and posted bail Thursday.
On Feb. 15 she intercepted a debit card that had been mailed to a relative who resides on the South Georgia Parkway and used it between then and May 5 to make purchases at various area locations and to get cash from ATMs that totaled $7,735.15, Royal said.
“The theft and fraud were reported to our office, investigated and warrants were secured,” Royal said. “She was arrested and has posted bail.”
