Betty Hayman Goble
Betty Hayman Goble, 88, died Tuesday morning (Feb. 26, 2019) at Baptist Village Retirement Communities.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross where she lived as a devoted and loving pastor’s wife for more than 50 years.
She was formerly employed as a receptionist for Dr. Ferrell and Dr. Pomeroy for more than 20 years, and she was a member of Second Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Brown Hayman and Mary Hall Hayman, and two brothers, J.R. Hayman and Bobby Hayman.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, the Rev. Claud P. Goble Sr., of Waycross; four children, Dianne Lee (the late Ira Buddy), of Donalsonville, Claud P. Goble Jr. (Sharon), of Waycross, Joey Goble (Elizabeth), of Woodbine, and Jeanne Strickland (Stan), of Waycross; grandchildren, Glenn Ira Lee (Deanna), Bryan Joseph Lee, Claud “Bucky” Goble III (Tabatha), Rachel Goble Carter (Brandon), Ryan Goble, Rebecca Goble Dockery (Kris) and Mollie Brown Wilson (Zach); great-grandchildren, Hillary Harrell, Hannah Lee, Maddox Lee, Talan Lee, Hamp Goble, Jacob Goble, Isaac Dockery, Kaleb Dockery, Elaina Carter, Luke Wilson, Caroline Wilson and Eliza Julie Wilson; special friends, Mariette Clarisse and Caleb Michael; sister-in-law, Beatrice Hayman; lifelong friend, Pearl Bennett Deen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Music Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Helen Deloris Johnson
Helen Deloris Johnson, 64, died Wednesday morning (Feb. 20, 2019) at the Miller County Nursing Home in Colquitt, following an extended illness.
She was a Waycross native.
The funeral will be at Full Gospel Church, 410 Brunel St., with the Rev. Tim Brookshire officiating, at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Public viewing will be Friday at 6 to 8 p.m. Welch & Brinkley Mortuary.
Friends and family are being received at the Believers Walk of Faith, 801 Tebeau St., from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday.
All food and donations will be received there Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The church, The Believers Walk of Faith, 801 Tebeau St., will also be open Saturday at 8 a.m. to receive food and donations.

Hazel Elizabeth Wildes, 91, died Tuesday (Feb. 26, 2019) at Baptist Village Retirement Communities following a brief illness.

Rosaline ‘Margaret’ Anderson Courson
BLACKSHEAR — The funeral for Rosaline Marguerite “Margaret” Anderson Courson, 83, was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Officiating was Pastor Derwin Griffin.
Interment was in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Jeremy Swain, Colt Yawn, Ethan Jacobs, Brandon Strickland, Roy Swain and Demory Peacock.
Pearson-Dial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
