A called meeting will be opened at 1 p.m. so that commissioners may adjourn to an executive session to discuss personnel and litigation.
The agenda for the retreat includes discussions of an increase in county commission salaries, a request to name the public safety training center after former Ware County Chief Deputy Harold Guinn Sr., the Hatcher Point Road widening project, a harvesting notification ordinance, a mobile home decal requirement ordinance, status of building lease for the Waycross-Ware County Development Authority, appointment of board members for the WWDA and recreation board and driveway repairs at 305 Pineland Drive.
Also, obstruction clearing at the airport, bridge repairs, financial support for the Okefenokee Heritage Center, budget hearing dates for department heads and elected officials and more will be discussed.
The work session retreat is open to the public.
