The Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind on Laura Walker Road in Waycross will again be the site of the “Car and Craft Show” sponsored by the Woodbine Lions Club.
The event is set for Saturday, Feb. 16, beginning at 8 a.m.
A beautiful day in February last year brought 76 cars of all makes and models to be admired by all. Trophies were presented as a result of participant voting.
This year’s show promises to be bigger and better than last year, said a spokesman. Avid collectors will bring cars from Georgia and Florida to compete for top prizes and best in show. Vendors will offer jewelry, woodcrafts, sweets and more for sale. Various kinds of food including a pancake breakfast will also be available.
Cars will begin showing at 8 a.m. with judging and presentations at 2 p.m.
“Plan to come join the fun at the Camp for the Blind across from Laura Walker State Park, Feb. 16,” the spokesman said. All proceeds from the show will go to the camp for camper enrichment.
