Deborah Andrews
Deborah Gail Sturges Andrews, 64, of Waycross, died Sunday (Aug. 28, 2016) at Clinch County Health and Rehab after an extended illness.
She was born in Waycross to the late James and Lucille Musgrove Sturges and lived most of her life in South Georgia. She was a woman of many hobbies although the top of her list were growing flowers, cooking and loving on her grandbabies. She worked many jobs to provide for her family and attended Pine Valley Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donnie Andrews, and a sister, Bertha Perritt.
She is survived by three daughters, Dana Johns (Michael Flynn), of Waycross, Debbie Duncan (Terry Jr.), of Millwood, Donna Walker (Silas Strickland), of Waycross; 10 grandchildren, Mark Joyner Jr. (April), Jessica Mullis (Kevin), Terrence Walker Jr., Donnie Walker (Shanna), Tiffany Walker, Debra Walker, Austin Duncan, Dylan Duncan, Derek Duncan, Lillian Duncan; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Patricia Cribb, Janice Pittman (Raymond), Barbara Johnson (Craig); five brothers, Larry Sturges (Faye), Jimmy Sturges (Sandy), Walter Sturges (Rayanne), Jerome Sturges, Tony Sturges (Tammy); numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Green Cemetery in Millwood.
Visitation will be held on the same day from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at Miles-Odum Funeral Home.

Ellis C. Brown
Ellis C. Brown, 59, died Tuesday (Aug. 30, 2016) at Memorial Health in Savannah, following an extended illness.

Michael W. Sheffield
BLACKSHEAR — Michael Wayne “Stumpy” Sheffield, 56, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday (Aug. 28, 2016) at his residence from injuries he received while doing what he loved, riding his tractor.
Born in Waycross, Jan. 21, 1960, he lived in Ware County until moving to Ohio in 1981. He later moved to Pierce County in 1996. He worked in construction until becoming disabled. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and hunt. He also loved to collect guns and antiques.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and was a friend to many. He truly lived his life to the fullest as best he could. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was a son of the late Norbert Garold and Betty Jo Cowart Sheffield. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Welton, and both of his brothers, Gary Sheffield and Terry Preston.
Survivors include his wife, Kelly Berlin Sheffield, of Blackshear; two sons, Chris (Laci) Sheffield and Shane Sheffield Sr., all of Blackshear; a sister, Debbie Maurer, of New Franklin, Ohio; two grandchildren, Shane Sheffield Jr. and Hayden Sheffield; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorialization is by cremation.

Vincent T. Cecil
Vincent T. Cecil made his transition from this life on Friday (Aug. 26, 2016) in Baltimore, Md.
The family is receiving friends at the home of his grandmother, Betty Everett, 617 Izlar St.

William ‘Billy’ Stewart
William Cecil “Billy” Stewart Jr., 66, died Tuesday morning (Aug. 30, 2016) at his residence in Waycross following an extended illness.
He was born in Waycross and lived most of his life here. He retired from Voith Fabrics after 37 years of employment and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He also served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was a son of the late William Cecil Stewart Sr. and Violet Davis Stewart. He was also preceded in death by his son, Bryan William Stewart.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Morgan Stewart, of Waycross; two children, Marie Stewart Wilkerson (husband, Michael), of Waycross, and Mary Ann Stewart, of Cartersville; a grandson, Brandon Michael Wilkerson, of Waycross; a sister, Betty Stewart Whittemore, of Moreno Valley, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held 2 p.m. Friday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will follow at Little Utah Cemetery in Axson.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening at Music Funeral Home from 6 until 8 o’clock.

Henry L. Miller
Henry L. Miller, 81, of 2443 Piney Grove Road, Blackshear, passed away Thursday (Aug. 25, 2016) at his residence.
He was born Sept. 18, 1934 in Mershon to the late Henry Lee Miller and Louella Morgan. He was raised in Cairo and educated in Damascus.
He met and married Annie Muriel Harris in 1954 and to that union eight children were born.
He was pipefitter for Seaboard Construction Company for many years. He loved the outdoors including fishing and hunting. He was a past master of Joshua Lodge No. 41 and a member of the Shriners of America.
Later in life, he met and married Louvenia Atkinson Miller.
Preceding him in death other than his parents, were a son, Michel Miller, and six siblings, Isaiah Miller, Simmie Lee Christopher, Rosa Lee Miller, McArthur Miller, Jesse James Miller and Charles Miller.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Louvenia Atkinson Miller; children, Henry David Miller, Charles Miller and Valeria Annette Miller, all of Blackshear, Samuel Lee Miller (Amy), Portland, Ore., Harry Lee Miller (Theresa), Rayford, N.C., Warren Miller (Faye), Brunswick, and Jearnita Miller, Waycross; several step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; siblings, Elizabeth Grimes, Richard Miller (Ruth), Christine Fuller, Fannie Mae Williams (Michael), Johnnie Mae Miller, Jerlene Miller and Blossom Miller; sister-in-law, Jerry Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Rainge Funeral Home, 505 Ware St., Blackshear.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church, Piney Grove Road, Blackshear. His son, Elder Harry Miller, of Rayford, N.C., will deliver words of comfort.
Interment will follow in the Blackshear City Cemetery, Bazemore Drive, Blackshear.
There will be two corteges. The first will assemble at 2443 Piney Grove Road, Blackshear, at 1 p.m. Friday. The second will assemble at 5115 Aurelia St., Blackshear, at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
The family is receiving friends at the residence, 5115 Aurelia St., Blackshear.

Frank Dasher Sr.
Frank Dasher Sr., 82, of Folkston, died Tuesday (Aug. 30, 2016) in Folkston Park Care Center after an illness.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Fluker Funeral Home of Waycross.

Lucille Jones Sweat
A funeral for Kathryn Lucille Jones Sweat was held Tuesday morning at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. David White and the Rev. Mike Myers officiating.
Entombment followed in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Benjamin Haut, Joseph Haut, David Sweat, Bill Pittman, Charles Dobson and David Jones.
Honorary pallbearers were the members of John Wesley Sunday School Class.
