Debbie Faye Finklea
Debbie Faye Finklea, 62, died Wednesday afternoon (Aug. 12, 2015) at Stafford Hospital Center.
A native of North Carolina, she resided in Stafford, Va. She worked as a computer operator for the United States Marine Corps.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Enos Capers Moody and Lennie Parker Moody, and siblings, Henry B. Moody, Wayne Moody, Elizabeth Lewis, Kenneth Moody, Linda Harris and Larry Moody.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Mike Finklea, of Stafford, Va.; two sons, Benjamin Finklea (Jeannie), of West Monroe, La., and Jonas Finklea (Trish), of Fredricksburg, Va.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Billy Moody (Sara), of Lynette, Ala., Bobby Moody (Cheryl), of Lynchburg, Va., and Lonnie Baldwin (Brenda), of Waycross; two sisters, Patricia Oakes (Mark), of Hartfield, Va., and Joyce Baldwin, of Hogansville; numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Charles L. Burnett
Charles L. Burnett, 92, of Butler, passed away Saturday (Aug. 15, 2015).
A graveside service was to be held at 11 a.m. today in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family was greeting friends from 10 o’clock until the service hour at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church, 702 Elizabeth St., Waycross, Ga. 31501 or Butler United Methodist Church, 300 East Main St., Butler, Ga. 31006.
He was born in Griffin, a son of the late John Colvin and Kitty Ruth Nolan Burnett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mary Hendley Burnett.
He was a retired municipal utilities director and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of Butler United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his children, Joseph (Linda) Burnett, of Warner Robins, and Lisa (David) Reddish, of Butler, his grandchildren, Jody Burnett (Emily), Beth (Rick) Bevels, Rachael Daugherty and Tee (Katie) Reddish, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Kenneth Mitch Holley
Kenneth Mitch Holley, 56, of Waycross, died Monday afternoon (Aug. 17, 2015) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross after an brief illness.
He was born and raised in Fitzgerald and eventually moved to Waycross where he lived the majority of his life. He worked for Bealls Outlet and attended Pebble Hill Baptist Church.
He loved his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and any time he was able to spend with them. He also loved his dog, “Lady.” More than anything, Mitch will be remembered for his caring, selfless and generous spirit. He was always giving to, or thinking about others.
He was preceded in death by his father, Adam Huston Holley.
He is survived by his mother, Merle Holley, of Waycross; two sisters, Diane Holley Boatwright, of Sarasota, Fla., Cindy Holley Walker (husband, Greg), of Waycross; a brother, Travis Holley, of Waycross; his aunts, Peggy Melton King, of Fitzgerald, Shirley Melton, of Lakeland; his nieces and nephews, Holly Boatwright Nelson, Lindsay Boatwright Hawker, Brent Walker, Paige Walker, Georgia Holley, Gracie Holley, Houston Holley; great-nieces and great-nephews, Chief, Wyatt, Burke, Thora, Jett, Cash, Aubrie, Bryson; and numerous other relatives.
A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 8 at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home.

Florence T. Pittman
BLACKSHEAR — Florence Marion Tyson Pittman, 87, passed away Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 18, 2015) at the Pierce County Nursing Home.

Robert Stillman Chase
BLACKHEAR — The funeral for Lt. Col. (Ret.) Robert Stillman “Bob” Chase, 83, was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Officiating was Dr. Bill Young.
Interment was in the Blackshear Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Moody Air Force Base honor guard.
