Suzanne Stilwell
Suzanne Stilwell passed away Sunday (March 22, 2015) in Waycross.
She was born Sept. 16, 1957 in Inglewood, Calif. She was raised and lived most of her life in the Torrance/South Bay area of California. She moved eastward with Gary Green, her longtime partner – first to Slidell, La., and then to Waycross.
She was preceded in death by Gary Green, as well as her parents, Mary Ann Cooper Stilwell and LaRue Stilwell.
Survivors include sisters, Mindy Kneepkens, of Corona, Calif., and Lisa Radeski, of Torrance, Calif.; brother, Jon Stilwell, of Sammamish, Wash.; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives.
She was a graduate of El Camino College and South High School, Torrance. She was a master of many things including being a licensed cosmetologist, an amazing cook, a devoted animal lover, a protective sister, a devoted daughter.
We take comfort from the many people who have counted her among their best friends, said the family.
A celebration of life will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at El Retiro Park, Torrance.

Maurice Hannaford
FOLKSTON — Maurice W. Hannaford, 80, of Folkston passed away Tuesday (April 14, 2015).
He was born March 29, 1935 in Charlton County to J.O. and Thelma Gowen Hannaford. He served his country in the United States Army. He retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a Past Master of Folkston Masonic Lodge No. 196 F&AM and was a member of Folkston United Methodist Church.
He had a servant’s heart in caring for others in extending a kindness, a generous man always the gentleman. He loved life, family and his many friends. He had a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile. He knew how to make you feel welcome and make you feel good. He would say, it’s not the destination, it’s the journey.
His favorite scripture Ecclesiastes 7:1, “A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth.”
Survivors include his wife, Linda W. Hannaford, of Folkston; a daughter, Sandra Reese, of Waycross; two brothers, James O. Hannaford Jr. (Jacki), and George L. Hannaford, of Woodbine; a sister, Gloria Meryl Lloyd (Glenn), of Folkston; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at Folkston United Methodist Church at 3 p.m.

A graveside service for Carolyn Turner Devereaux was held at the Devereaux family plot in Surrency Thursday morning with the Rev. Daryl Smith officiating.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
