ALMA — A Waycross man was injured Sunday when his car went out of control in a curve, struck a ditch and overturned, said the Georgia State Patrol.
Robnez Jerrideau, 26, was transported to Bacon County Hospital for treatment of his injuries, said Amanda Dixon, GSP Waycross post secretary.
Driving a Nissan Maxima, Jerrideau was southbound on U.S. 1 entering a righthand curve when the car drifted onto the median. Dixon said the driver over-corrected, causing the car to skid onto the shoulder for 110 feet. It struck a ditch embankment and was propelled airborne, overturning and landing on its wheels, said Dixon.
Sgt. Terry Thrift investigated the 2:46 p.m. accident.
