Waycross Bank & Trust is celebrating the introduction of two brand new ways to bank. An Interactive Teller Machine (or ITM) and a Customer Care Center are now available from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Waycross Bank & Trust is the first financial institution in the area to offer extended banking hours through the use of the cutting edge ITM technology and live customer service representatives.
What is an ITM?
Imagine if your favorite bank teller lived inside an ATM – it would be called an Interactive Teller Machine, or ITM. It looks a lot like the ATMs you’re used to, but when you pull up and touch the screen you’re greeted with a real, live person. The ITM Specialist is able to assist customers with almost everything that can be done inside the bank – cashing or depositing a check, making a withdrawal, transferring money, paying a Waycross loan or credit card, and more.
Why is this important?
Convenience. The ITMs are open for extended hours, so you don’t need to worry about hurrying to the bank before it closes. Take your time – we’ll be open when you get here. It also helps get you in and out and on your way faster. With a new location to assist you, “going to the bank” is more convenient and you still get personal, friendly customer service from our bank tellers —anytime from 7 a.m. till 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The ITM is located in on the corner of City Boulevard and Knight Avenue just beside Ellianos.
So what’s a Customer Care Center?
Just that. A team dedicated to caring for you — the customer. You can call a Waycross Bank & Trust Customer Service Representative any time from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday. When you call the bank before or after normal business hours, you’re given the option to connect with a WB&T Customer Care Representative.
Pay your bills after work and notice something isn’t right? Now you don’t have to wait until the bank opens to speak with someone. Trying to log in the mobile app and your password locks you out? We’re happy to assist you. Curious if a check cleared? Call (912) 584-6101.

“It isn’t every day that we’re able to introduce something so cutting edge and new and it means a lot to have the support of other local organizations,” said a WB&T official.
Waycross Bank & Trust is actually the only bank in the area that has the extended customer service hours — using the ITM and the new Customer Care Center.
“We are excited that the community will have these resources going into the busy holiday season,” the official said.
Through Dec. 15, as a way of saying “thank you,” WB&T will donate $1 to the local Salvation Army for every ITM experience generated through the new system.
“So while you are out and about this holiday season, stop in and use the ITM,” said a spokesman. “Every time you do, you will give to someone in need.”
