A work session is set for 2 p.m. and the regular meeting at 5 p.m.
The regular agenda includes a proclamation to declare Cecil Brown Day and the official presentation of the Cecil Brown Drive road signs to be installed at the Tremblin’ Earth Recreation Complex. The roadway from Victory Drive to the complex is being named to honor Brown.
A resolution in support of the Ware Children’s Initiative will be read and presented and the Ware County employee of the month, David Kirton will be recognized with the presentation of a plaque.
Items listed on the work session agenda include a request to nominate individuals to serve on the Hospital Authority Board (Post 9), a request for a beer and wine consumption on premises license for Aaron’s Food Mart, 2720 Albany Avenue., a contract for the federal transit administration and a bid approval for recreation department athletic equipment.
Both meetings are open to the public.
