Following a traffic stop on the South Georgia Parkway near Manor-Millwood Road Thursday, two people were arrested for possession of drugs and possession of a firearm, said Ware County Sheriff Randy Royal.
Gordon Eugene McClellan, 43, of Hoke Street, Manor, and his passenger, Jennifer Lyn Hudgins, 48, of Cedar Bluff, Ala., were taken to the Ware County jail where they remained this morning, said Royal.
Sgt. Michael Ray made a traffic stop on a white GMC Sierra after he observed the truck weaving on the roadway just after 6 p.m. Thursday.
Royal said Ray, along with Deputy Ion Highsmith assisting, found inside the truck some crystal methamphetamine, a double-barrel shotgun, a pipe used for smoking drugs and some oxycodone.
McClellan is charged with driving with a suspended license, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of drug-related objects and possession of a Schedule II drug, said Royal.
Hudgins is charged with possession of drug-related objects, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of methamphetamine, said Royal.
