Two people residing together in the 1300 block of Ketterer were arrested when the Waycross Police drug unit executed arrest warrants Thursday evening, said Waycross Police Detective Scott Rowell.
The subject of the three arrest warrants for two counts of the sale of Schedule II drugs (oxycodone, cocaine) and a Schedule IV drug (alprazolam), Rhonda Norwood, 50, was additionally charged with possession of a Schedule II drug (hydrocodone) with intent to distribute and possession of a Schedule II drug, Rowell said.
Also arrested at the residence was John Frederick Howard, 52, who was charged with possession of a Schedule II drug with intent to distribute and possession of a Schedule II drug, Rowell said.
Concerned residents had reported drug activity at the suspects’ residence and Waycross police investigated, Rowell said. The warrants were obtained as a result of the investigation.
The drug unit officers went to the residence at 7 p.m. Thursday and the search was conducted. They found 85 hydrocodone pills in the bathroom, Rowell said.
