Carolyn Brown Lee
Carolyn Brown Lee, 79, of Waycross, died Thursday night (Sept. 1, 2016) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross after an extended illness.
She was born in Sneads Crossing, Ala. to the late Allie Rhodes and Martha Ferguson Rhodes. She had made Waycross her home for most of her life.
She was retired from Concerted Services where she worked as a literacy specialist inclusion coordinator. She also worked for Wilbur James Tire Pros in Waycross. She was a member of Hebardville Baptist Church.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel M. Lee Jr., of Waycross; four children, the Rev. Mike Brown (Brenda), of Waycross, Carol Cole (Dudley), of Waycross, Shelly Hood, of LaFayette, Michael Brown (Danielle), of Hoboken; three sisters, Sue Sanders (David), of Oneonta, Ala., Margaret Newton (Roger), of Blackshear, Judy Morgan (Glen), of Blackshear; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in High Bluff Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Gary Wayne Minchew
Gary Wayne Minchew, 69, died suddenly Thursday morning (Sept. 1, 2016) at his residence.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross. He retired from FedEx as a carrier and attended Grace Episcopal Church.
He is the son of the late Warren Minchew and Ruby Aileen Strickland Minchew.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Margie Carter Minchew, of Waycross; one daughter, Kimberly Stone (Bruce), of Hoboken; two step-sons, John Mclellan (Stacy), of Waycross, and Timothy Mclellan (Timber), of Baxley; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Lana Gail Minchew and Glenda Sutton, both of Waycross; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private memorial service.
Visitation will be held from 2 until 3 p.m. Sunday at Grace Episcopal Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grace Episcopal Church, 401 Pendleton St., Waycross, Ga. 31501.

Deborah Andrews
A funeral for Deborah Gail Sturges Andrews was held Friday morning at Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Sturges officiating.
Burial followed in Mt. Green Cemetery in Millwood.
Pallbearers were Austin Duncan, Randall Davis, Terrence Walker, Donnie Walker, Phillip Sturges and Will Hinnant.
Miles-Odum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

William Stewart Jr.
A funeral for William “Billy” Cecil Stewart Jr. was held Friday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Kim Hood conducting the service and John Cribb and Eddie Musgrove speaking.
Burial followed in Little Utah Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were John Cribb, Devon Morgan, J.L. Morgan, Wayne Morgan, Brandon Wilkerson and Michael Wilkerson.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
