Wilma Wilson Ellis
Wilma Wilson Ellis, 77, of Waycross, died Saturday evening (Sept. 17, 2016) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross following a short illness.
Born April 8, 1939 in Mulberry, Fla., she was the daughter of the late David Edward and Elizabeth Mae Fox Wilson. She lived for many years in Tampa, Fla., and lived in Waycross for the past 25 years. She was a housewife and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Beverly; two sisters, Opal Wilson and Annette Wilson; and two brothers, Donald Lee Wilson and David Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Kenneth Ellis, of Waycross; two daughters, Donna Halterman (husband, Tracy), of Blackshear, and Karen Moshier (husband, Dean), of Dearborn Heights, Mich.; one son, Kenny Ellis Jr. (wife, Kristine), of Blackshear; 11 grandchildren, Shane Beverly, of Waycross, Amanda Hood (fiancé, Phillip Morris), of Waycross, Shawna Ellis, of Virginia, Michelle Halterman, of Blackshear, Daniel Halterman (wife, Alyssa), of Waycross, Angela, Ashlee and Adam Campbell, all of Michigan, Kimberly Loughran (husband, John), of St. Petersburg, Fla., Ricky Welker, of Wooster, Ohio, and Adam Welker, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Franklin Wilson, of Douglas; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will have a time of visitation on Thursday at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m.
Memorialization will be by cremation.

Larry Richard Hester
Larry Richard Hester, 54, of Yulee, Fla., died Sunday (Sept. 18, 2016) at his residence in Yulee, Fla., after an extended illness.
He was born in Waycross to the late Edward Tuck and Myrtle Hamilton Hester. He lived most of his life in Waycross until moving to Yulee where he worked for the Swisher Cigar Factory. He was passionate about fishing and watching University of Georgia football.
He is survived by four brothers, Mike Hester (wife, Lydia), of Waycross, Jimmy Hester (wife, Judy), of Waycross, Jerry Hester (wife, Stacey), of Yulee, Fla., and J.C. Hester (wife, Sarah), of Keystone Heights, Fla.; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Wednesday night from 6 until 8 o’clock at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miles-Odum Funeral Home, 130 Screven Ave., Waycross, Ga. 31501.
