Irma Lou E. Wallace
BLACKSHEAR — Irma Lou “Bunny” Eastman Wallace, 75, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday morning (Aug. 30, 2015) at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Bolivar, N.Y., Dec. 8, 1939, she lived in Tampa, Fla., for many years before moving to Blackshear in 2005. She was retired from Edward Jones where she worked as the office manager for 19 years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, working in her home and in her yard, and she dearly loved taking care of her family.
She was a daughter of the late Bert Eugene and Alice Berdine Worden Eastman. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Servos, and both of her brothers, Harold Eastman and Donald Eastman.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Norman “Norm” Wallace, of Blackshear, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bradley Wallace and Tim and Donna Wallace, all of Blackshear, two grandchildren, Alexis Wallace and Addison Wallace, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday morning (Sept. 8, 2015) at 11:30 at First United Methodist Church in Blackshear.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10 until 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made to Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, Ga. 31501.

Gerald Minchew died Wednesday morning (Sept. 2, 2015) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after a brief illness.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
Tommy Brown, 61, died Saturday (Aug. 29, 2015) at St. Vincent’s Southside in Jacksonville, Fla., following a brief illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross and a 1973 graduate of Waycross High School. He was a member of Swamp Road Baptist Church. He loved doing mechanic work especially on small engines.
He was a son of the late Mary Susan Gaines Brown.
He is survived by his brother, Jerry Brown, of Waycross, and his Swamp Road Baptist Church family.
A funeral will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at Swamp Road Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church Thursday afternoon from 2 until 3 o’clock.

Valerie Walberg Bennett, 65, died Wednesday morning (Sept. 2, 2015) at her residence in Brantley County after a short illness.

Dorothy Ann Blutcher
Dorothy Ann Blutcher, 69, of 905 Gilmore St., Waycross, passed away Monday (Aug. 31, 2015) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross.
The Family is currently receiving visitors at the residence.
