Raymond L. Pittman
Raymond Lester Pittman, 59, formerly of Waycross died Sunday (Sept. 11, 2016) at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup after a sudden illness.
He was born in Waycross to the late Lester Pittman and Nannie Doris Henderson Pittman. He lived most of his life in Waycross and worked for Ware State Prison. He had a passion for the outdoors and his grandchildren. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Charlene Cox and Jannie Ruth Carter.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Pittman, of Jesup; his children; his grandchildren; his mother, Nannie Doris Henderson Pittman, of Waycross; a sister, Betty Hall of Waycross; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Suwannee Chapel Church of God of Prophecy.
Visitation will be held this evening from 6 until 8 at Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Perry Hewitt Crews
Perry Hewitt Crews, 34, died suddenly Friday evening (Sept. 9, 2016) at Mayo Clinic Health Systems of Waycross.
He was born in Greenville, S.C., but has lived most of his life in Blackshear.
He was formerly employed as a painter for CSX Railroad.
He is the son of the late Jerry Marcus Crews.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Sutherland Crews, of Blackshear; three children, Patrick Crews, Marcus Crews and William Crews; his mother, Debra Ann Bolt Crews, of Blackshear; one brother, Jessie Crews, of Hoboken; one sister, Chantelle Knight (Justin), of Blackshear; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorialization is by cremation.
