Jerry Rudolph Watkins
BLACKSHEAR — Jerry Rudolph Watkins, 67, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday morning (Sept. 11, 2016) at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Born in Waycross, July 26, 1949, he lived in Ware County for several years before moving to Pierce County in 1984. He worked for CSX Transportation (Bridge Building Division) before becoming disabled.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War
He loved to fish and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was a tough man with a big heart and it always seemed like God would put him where he needed to be when he needed to be there for he would help anyone in need. He was always joking and could come up with some of the best one-liners. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was the son of the late Johnny Wright and Aldine Owens Watkins.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Linda Altman Watkins, of Blackshear; three sons, Britt (Pearlie) Watkins, of Waycross, and Timmy Watkins (Courtney Buchanan) and Chad Watkins, all of Blackshear; six grandchildren, Chelsea, Carson, Jaycee, Ella, Eli and Alayna; a great-grandchild on the way; a special nephew, Mark Godwin, of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock in the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

Annie G. Edwards
Annie Graham Edwards, 92, died suddenly Saturday (Sept. 10, 2016) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross.
She was born in Graham, GA and lived most of her life in Hazlehurst and Baxley but lived the past several years in Waycross with her granddaughter.
She was a former bookkeeper with Triple H and Cook & Company of Hazlehurst. She attended Kettle Creek Church and enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart on TV.
She was a daughter of the late John Graham and Mary Bell Williams Graham. She was married to the late Russell Underwood, of Hazlehurst, and W.C. Edwards, of Eastman. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Graham Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Nell Thomas Brewer (Gerald), of Eatonton; three grandchildren, Brooks Summerlin, of Hazlehurst, Sheri Summerlin Newman (David), of Waycross, and Brandon Summerlin (Sharmin), of Lilburn; and three great-grandchildren, Scott Newman, Brittany Newman and Zaydon Summerlin.
A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kettle Creek Church. Burial will follow in Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at Music Funeral Home from 6 until 8 o’clock.

Gary Van Bryson
A graveside service for Gary Van Bryson, 49, was held Saturday morning (Sept. 10, 2016) at Oakland Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Thrift officiating.
Pallbearers were Devan Gary Bryson, Kelly Bryson, Harbin Farr, Cason Farr, William Warner and Jim Cannon.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Perry Neal McCuller
A memorial service for Perry Neal McCuller was held Saturday morning at Second Baptist Church with Brother Derwin Griffin, Brother Marlon Pittman, Brother Matthew Brown and Brother Richard Johnson officiating.
Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearer for the memorial service was Michael Slack.
Honorary pallbearers were the Adult Discipleship IV Sunday School Class and Lowes representative Sherri Murphy.
Miles-Odum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
