Homicide investigators are still following up on leads but could use some help from the public if anyone has information that might help them solve a Sept. 17 double murder on Glenmore Avenue, Waycross Police Chief Tony Tanner said Wednesday.
In the 900 block of Glenmore at 1:35 a.m. on Sept. 17 Yolanda Faison, 31, and Alonzo Brown, 41, were shot and killed.
“We are still working on it, following leads and looking for evidence,” said Tanner.
Someone in the public may have seen or heard something that would be important to investigators. Anyone who has any information should call the Waycross police department (287-2921) or dial 911. Informants remain anonymous.
“We would appreciate any help we can get on this,” Tanner said.
Police said four children were in the house at the time of the shooting but were not physically injured. Police said the children are being cared for by family members.
