Law enforcement officials released the following information:
•Terroristic threats: Charles Ayres, 43, of Memorial Drive; charged with making terroristic threats and acts; Waycross police were dispatched to an agency located in the 300 block of Isabella Street about 11:40 a.m. Thursday after the man entered and inquired about services; when he did not get the answer he wanted, he threatened to “take out the building;” he left the building but soon returned and was detained by security until police arrived; he was taken to the Ware County jail where he remained this morning.
•Drugs: Vernon Taylor, 60, of Carswell Avenue; charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug related objects; Waycross police observed Taylor run a stop sign on his bicycle about 7:15 p.m. on Albany Avenue and made a traffic stop; after being given consent for a search, the officer found crack cocaine in the brim of his hat and a crack pipe in his boot; he was taken to the Ware County jail.
•Burglary: someone entered a house in the 5000 block of Cate Drive between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday and stole a cookie jar filled with quarter; Ware County detective Zabrae Williams responded to the dispatch and made contact with the victim about 10:45 a.m. Thursday; Ware County detectives are investigating.
