Connie Queen Howell
Connie Queen Howell, 67, died Sunday morning (Oct. 2, 2016) at her residence in Hoboken after an extended illness.
She was born in Gadsden, Ala., but resided in the Waycross area most of her life. She was retired from National Cap as a seamstress and attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
She was a daughter of the late William Eugene Burrell and Myra Ailene Williams Burrell. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Queen.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Howell, of Hoboken; her second mother, Betty Lou Howell, of Waycross; two children, Joey Queen (Bebe), of Waycross, and Rhonda Kinnon (Johnny), of Waycross; four grandchildren, Joe Kinnon, Amy Kinnon, Joey Queen and Jacob Queen; six great-grandchildren, Pierce Kinnon, Asher Carter, Brentley Carter, Jake Squires, Zeke Kinnon and Gracelyn Queen; four siblings, Sandra Kennison (Jerry), of Yulee, Fla., Diane Baldwin, of Yulee, Fla., Cary Burrell (Samantha), of Hoboken, and Ricky Burrell (Ronnie), of Yulee, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Music Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in Thomas Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening at the funeral home from 6 until 8 o’clock.

Faye Hill Bell
Faye Hill Bell, 72, died Sunday morning (Oct. 2, 2016) at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Riverside in Jacksonville, Fla. after an extended illness.
She was born April 4, 1944, in Bacon County to the late Hubert Hill, of Collinsville, Miss., and Louise Taylor Hill Rozier, of Alma. She lived most of her life in Waycross where she graduated from Ware County High School.
She was formerly employed by Dr. Dan Terry and Dr. John Butler for more than three decades before retiring.
She loved her family and friends. Except for her home, she enjoyed the beach above all and going to the movies. She was a pioneering, courageous woman who had a career when this was unexpected of women. She was a devoted wife, mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Marc Bell, of Thomasville, brother, Eugene Hill, of Alma, half-sister, Brenda Talbert, of Collinsville, Miss., and niece, Jeana Hill-Thornton, of Alma.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Oscar Bell, of Waycross; one son, Michael Bell (wife, Amy), of Richmond Hill; one granddaughter, Emily Bell, of Richmond Hill; three grandsons, Spencer Bell (wife, Yvonne), of Newport, Va., Griffin Bell, of Macon, and Davis Bell, of Athens; three brothers, Herman Hill (wife, Mary), of Blackshear, Jimmy Hill (wife, Pat), of Mershon, and Randy Hill (wife, Jennifer), of Alma; step-mother, Joyce Hill, of Collinsville, Miss.; half-sister, Lisa Brown, of Collinsville, Miss.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A funeral for JoAnn Mixon Hartley was held Monday at Liberty Christian Church in Waycross with Pastor Richard Jeffers officiating.
Burial followed in Lone Hill Cemetery in West Green.
Pallbearers were Robert Crase, Virgil Carter, Dennis Dean Jr., Hal Barnett, Garrett McDuffie and Jay West.
Hart Funeral Home of Blackshear was in charge of arrangements.
