David Allen Smith
David “Smitty” Allen Smith, 42, died suddenly Monday morning (Nov. 14, 2016).
He was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and he lived in Waycross since 1984. He was a member of Millwood Baptist Church and a Foreman/Lineman with Sumter Utilities.
He was a son of the late Larry Lee Smith Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Mindy Thrift Smith, of Millwood; two children, Shealy Marie Smith and Cayden Lucille Smith, both of Millwood; his mother, Sharon Tittle Smith, of Blackshear; a brother, Larry Lee Smith Jr. (wife, Crystal), of Blackshear; his father and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Myra Thrift, of Millwood; brother and sisters-in-law, Debra Thrift Golden (husband, the Rev. Richard), of Waycross, Jimmy Thrift (wife, Tina), of Nahunta, and Alvin Thrift (wife, Millie), of Millwood; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Millwood Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday morning at the church from 9:30 until 10:30.
The family requests co-workers and fellow lineman to meet at the church by 10:40 Thursday morning to serve as honorary pallbearers.

Jimmie Mae Loyd
Jimmie Mae Lloyd, 78, of Folkston, passed away Monday (Nov. 14, 2016) at her residence.
She was born in Ware County May 26, 1938 to the late James Thomas “Jim” O’Berry and Pauline Augusta Wilson O’Berry. She was a member of Homeland Church of God of Prophecy.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald R. Lloyd Sr.; a grandson, Jamie Lee Dixon; three brothers, J.W. O’Berry, Freddy O’Berry and Baby Boy O’Berry; a sister, Ruby Brannen; two sons-in-law, J.W. Prescott and James Dixon; a brother-in-law, Dub Brannen; and a sister-in-law, Sylvia O’Berry.
She is survived by her children, Ronald R. Lloyd Jr. (Phyllis), Donna Lloyd Whitney, Sheila L. Baker (Steve), Cindy L. Bray (Mike) and Bobby Lloyd (Daina); grandchildren, Matt Lloyd, Emily Lloyd, Brenna Lloyd, Eric Dixon (Ginger), Nicole B. Nerone (Donnie), Brandon Bray (Carrie), Leslie P. Murrell (Curtis), Sabrina P. Lee (Steven), Anna Baker, Nicole Baker, Ben Whitney (Ashley), Skyler Lloyd (Vicky), Storm Whitney (Amanda), Alfie Wittrien (Nina), Anna Tate (David), L.A. Rosas (Jennifer), Leilah Parkins (Derek), Nina Composeco (Jayro) and Trina Weidner (Marshall); great-grandchildren: Amaya Murrell, Amber Murrell, Destinee Dietz, Meronica Dietz, Anatacia Dietz, Logan Dixon, Damien Dixon, Blain Nerone, Hailey Nerone, Mckenzie Whitney, Noah Whitney, Lilianna Walker, Theodore Lloyd, Hailey Composeco, J.J. Composeco, Wyatt Leugers, Nolan Leugers, Chase Leugers, Brittney Wright and Olivia Wittrien; Siblings: Velma Jean Lloyd (George), Charlie O’Berry (Wilma), Lloyd O’Berry (Dorothy); and a sister-in-law, Delores O’Berry.
The family will receive friends Thursday at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston beginning at 6 p.m.
The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home with Pastor Chester Musgrove officiating.
Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery.

Mary Louise Chancey
A funeral for Mary Louise Mosley Chancey was held Tuesday afternoon at Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Alvin Johnson, Elder Willis Lee and the Rev. Joe Chancey officiating.
Burial followed at Swamp Road Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Josh Chancey, Jason Stripling, Berry Chancey, Carson Mixon, Danny Mosley and Joey Chancey.
Miles-Odum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
