C.R. ‘Chuck’ Lee
C.R. “Chuck” Lee, 88, died peacefully Friday morning (Nov. 13, 2015) at Satilla Care Center.
He was a native of Beacon, N.Y., and the retired owner of Lee Roofing Company. A World War II veteran, he served in the 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper of the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church. He spent the last year of his life at home, tending to his garden and taking afternoon fishing trips.
He was the son of the late Herbert Lee and Mable Oakley Lee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Dixon Lee, and granddaughter, Kelly Robyn Sweat.
Survivors include one son, C.R. “Buddy” Lee (wife, Vickie), of Waycross; one step-son, Leonard Sweat (wife, Jeanie), of Douglas; grandchildren, Kristy Sweat Davies, Kacie Sweat and Kandace Sweat; two great-grandchildren, Samuel Welles and Saylor; two sisters, Emma Purdy, of Albany, N.Y., and Virginia Capino, of Kingston, N.Y.; one brother, Harry Lee, of Kingston, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 5 until 7 o’clock at Music Funeral Home.

Doris R. Lott
Doris R. Lott, 84, of Waycross, departed this life Thursday evening (Nov. 12, 2015) at her daughter and son-in-law home Diane R. and Dr. Delacy Sanford in Brunswick after an illness.
She was native of Wheeler County but grew up in Brunswick. She lived in Waycross most of her life where she was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lora and Maggie Wooten Ryals, and her husband, Roy Lott Sr.
Survivors include her children, Diane R. Sanford (Dr. Delacy), of Brunswick, Roy Lott Jr. (Jean), Troy Lott (Karen), both of Waycross, and Jeannie Broden (Roy), of Alexandria, Va.; and other relatives.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Fluker Funeral Home.

Jesse ‘Jay’ Roberson
WAYNESVILLE — Jesse “Jay” James Roberson, 50, of Waynesville, died Thursday afternoon (Nov. 12, 2015) at his residence after a brief illness.
Born in Orlando, Fla., he was the son of Samuel Lamar and Carolyn Ann Turner Roberson. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, J.E. and Mildred Roberson, and his maternal grandparents, Eddie and Alamae Davis Turner.
He was of the Baptist faith and loved his family and being around people.
Survivors include a son, Dean Aspinwall, of Pensacola, Fla.; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 2 to 3 p.m. at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta, followed by the funeral at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Hickox and the Rev. Cliff Adams officiating.
Burial will follow in Highsmith Cemetery in Waynesville.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Everett, Julian Corbitt, Sammy Dowling, Ricky Morgan, Frank Roberson Jr. and Ronald Morgan.

Reba Dyal Deen
Reba Dyal Deen, 88, of Alma, passed away Thursday (Nov. 12, 2015) at Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness.
She was a native of Homerville but lived in Bacon County most of her life. She was daughter of the late Jonah M. Dyal and Rosie Bagley Dyal. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Terrell Medders Sr. and Edsel M. Deen, a daughter, Teresa Medders Bryant, and a sister, Winona Hopson.
She attended Alma First Baptist Church. She worked for First National Bank for many years.
Survivors include her son, Terry Medders Jr., of Alma; a sister, Faye Tripp, of Glenville; four grandchildren, Cindy Medders, Gee Carter (Jammie), Allison Dyal (George) and Blake Medders (Katie); seven great-grandchildren, Maegan and Kaylee Carroll, Logan and Paige Carter, Jaden and Aden Dyal and Ellie Medders; special family friends, Lois Batten and Terry and Nina Bryant.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church with the Rev. R.B. Gaskins and the Rev. E.C. Crews officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening between 6 and 9 o’clock.
The body will be taken to the church Sunday at 1 p.m. to lie in state.
Active pallbearers will be David Lassiter, Nathan Mullis, Denny Carroll Taylor, Michael Lynn, Charles Waters, Joe Boatright, Ken Vaughn and Chris MaCarages. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
