Evelyn Louise Smith
Evelyn Louise Smith, devoted wife and homemaker, 76, died Wednesday night (Nov. 11, 2015) at Hospice Satilla Hospice House following an extended illness.
She was a native of Alma who lived the past 56 years in Dixie Union. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Spivey and Agnes Hutson Spivey. She was also preceded in death by siblings Gene Spivey, William Spivey and Ethel Haas.
She was a member of Haywood Baptist Church, was a talented seamstress and loved making clothes for her children.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, James Edward Smith, of Waycross; her children, Neal Smith (wife, Brenda), Sheryl Smith Andrews, both of Waycross, and Gale Young (husband, Andy), of Glenwood; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Lois Sellers (husband, Roger), of Hazlehurst; a brother, Dannie Spivey (wife, Sylvia), of Waycross; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations may be made to Hospice Satilla Hospice House, c/o Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, Ga. 31501.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at 2 p.m. at Music Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in the Jordan Cemetery of Dixie Union.
The family will be receiving friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at Music Funeral Home.

Dennis Wilson
Dennis Wilson, 57, died Friday (Nov. 6, 2015) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross following a sudden illness.
He was born in Homerville and lived in the Ware and Pierce County area most of his life. He was an electrician who enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.
He was a son of the late Frank Dennis Wilson and Clio Bennett Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Wilson, of Blackshear; four children, Tammy Skipper, of Ocala, Fla., Tina Wilson, of Ocala, Fla., Vicki Aldridge, of Blackshear, and Justin Wilson, of Fitzgerald; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; three brothers, Raymond Wilson (Janice), of Waycross, Wayne Wilson (Faye), of Blackshear, and Melvin Wilson (Connie), of Blackshear; two sisters, Linda Sue Sweat (Randy), of Nicholls, and Linnie Mae Taylor (Joe), of Blackshear; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Jordan New Congregational Methodist Church in Dixie Union.
Memorialization will be by cremation.

Mary S. Partin
LILBURN — Mary Estelle Strickland Partin, 95, of Lilburn, passed away Tuesday (Nov. 10, 2015) at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Hortense, she was the daughter of James Causey Strickland and Winnie Adams Strickland. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kennis Strickland Partin, and several brothers and sisters.
She worked many years as a bailiff for Duval County Court, where she retired. She attended Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church and loved reading and sports. Ice hockey was her favorite.
Survivors include her daughter, Kaye Gunter, of Lilburn; five grandchildren, Michael Benton Gunter (Ashleigh), of Portland, Ore., Kelly Kaye Gunter, of Lilburn, Kennis Scott Partin, of Jacksonville, James Nathan Partin (Lindsey), of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., William Gregory Partin, of Jacksonville; seven great-grandchildren, Benton Taylor Gunter and Evan Michael Gunter, of Portland, Ore., Haley Camille Partin, James Strickland Partin and Brooklyn Kerr Partin, all of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Kameron Scott Partin and Brayden James Partin, both of Jacksonville; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 12 p.m. in the Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Rowell and the Rev. Ashley Corbett officiating.
Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service, at the cemetery.

Jimmie Lee Green
Jimmie Lee Green was born to the late Jimmie Green and Mary Peterson Green on Feb. 24, 1943 in Manor, where he resided until his death Tuesday (Nov. 10, 2015).
He was a long time member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Glenmore where he served as chairman of the deacon board.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Milledge Green; a sister, Anzie Mayers; and a brother, Willie Green.
He leaves to cherish his memories six sons, Dr. Mark S. Green (Karen) and Gary Green, both of Waycross, Michael Green, of Daytona, Fla., Jerry L. Green (Jennifer), of Lakeland, Leonard E. Green, of Las Vegas, Nev., Timothy Green (Tasha), of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Cuntinia A. Jackson, of Albany, and Brittany Z. Green, of Waycross; one brother, Huey Green; five sisters, Jessie Mae Studivent, Liller Mae Kitchen (Freddy), Mary Kitchen (Harry), Cynthia Miller (Bernard), and Gwendolyn Miller (Clarence); and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 4298 Glenmore Ave.
Burial and committal service will follow in The Ridge Cemetery, 5600 Aaron Way, Patterson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 until 7 p.m.
