Ware County detectives and Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents are aggressively working to obtain background information on a man sought in connection with the murder of a local man Saturday on Sawdust Trail, said Ware County Sheriff Randy Royal.
Zeb Paul Murray, 31, formerly of Pierce County, is being sought in connection with the death of Adam Noel, 28, at a mobile home just off the South Georgia Parkway east of Waycross, said Royal.
Murray was believed to have driven away from the residence in the victim’s car, a black 2007 Hyundai Tiburon with red interior and Georgia tag PBN 4235.
Murray is described as 5 feet 9, about 160 pounds, brown eyes and balding brown hair.
“We are reconstructing the timeline leading up to the homicide,” said Royal. “And we are asking for help from the public. Anyone with information on the person of interest or about the homicide is asked to call the Ware County Sheriff’s Department at 287-4327, the GBI Douglas office at 389-4103 or call 911, or call the county’s tip line at 287-TIPS (8477) and remain completely anonymous.”
Royal said officials are still waiting results of the autopsy from the medical examiner at the GBI State Crime Lab before determining how the man died.
“We will continue to work this case until we bring it to a successful conclusion,” said Royal.
Royal urges anyone who makes contact with the man to call law enforcement officers immediately.
Noel’s body was found Saturday. It’s thought that he died of blunt force trauma.
