Two women and a man were arrested Wednesday evening after they were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug related objects during a traffic stop, said Ware County Sheriff’s Capt. Carl James.
Sharee Kicklighter, 35, of Gilmore Street, the driver of the vehicle that was pulled over for impeding traffic at a busy intersection, is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects and failure to maintain a lane, said James.
Her passengers, Tiffany Sills, 33, of Hampton Avenue, and Jacob Cothern, 25, of Juniper Street, are both charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug related objects, said James.
Detective Tron Lewis was on patrol in the 1700 block of State Street when he investigated a vehicle that had stopped at the State-Blackshear Avenue intersection. The car sat on Blackshear facing east with the right turn signal blinking for several minutes, James said. When Lewis “lit her up,” said James, Kicklighter then turned right onto State Street and pulled over.
James said Lewis was given consent to search the vehicle, finding articles commonly used for the ingestion of methamphetamine.
The three were placed in the back of a patrol car and taken to the Ware County jail. After they were taken out of the car, lawmen found two bags of methamphetamine in the car, said James.
Detectives James Cox assisted Detective Lewis with the 9:20 p.m. traffic stop and investigation.
All three remained in jail this morning, said James.
