Three Waycrossans were arrested Wednesday night in an illegal drug-related case, said Waycross Police Capt. Benji Hersey.
Ashlea Nicole Turner-Gill, 30, of Waycross, was charged with obstruction of an officer, possession of methamphetamine and giving a false name, said Hersey.
He said Jeffery Holton, 43, of Quarterman Street, was charged with obstruction of an officer and Brian Dixon was charged with obstruction of an officer and a probation warrant in Ware County.
Two police officers approached a vehicle parked in a vacant lot in the 1400 block of Plant Avenue and the two people in the vehicle jumped out and fled on foot, Hersey said.
Methamphetamine was found by police in the vehicle, which belongs to Turner-Gill, Hersey said.
Police pursued Dixon and found him in a nearby wooded area, Hersey said. Turner-Gill was subsequently found at Holton’s home on Quarterman Street. Holton gave officers permission to search his residence, telling the police nobody else was there, said Hersey, who added that they found Turner-Gill hiding in the residence.
