Michael Troup Sr.
Michael Troup Sr., 52, of Jesup, passed away Wednesday (April 27, 2016) following a fishing accident in Brunswick.
He was born Feb. 4, 1964 in Waycross, son of the late Reba Hazel Jenkins Troup and Willie DeWitt Troup Sr.
He was educated in the public school system and graduated from Monroe High School in Albany in 1983. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was also a certified welder. He was a former employee of Yellowood, the Tank Plant and Georgia Pacific in Brunswick.
“Mike,” as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was well liked and never met a stranger. He loved his family and his friends. In his free time he could always be found him somewhere fishing.
The viewing will be held at Royal Funeral Home Chapel from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gilead Gospel Ministries Church, 256 N. Macon St., Jesup.
Interment will be in Sunset Oaks Cemetery in Jesup.
Arrangements are entrusted to Royal Funeral Home, Inc., of Jesup.
HOMERVILLE — Richard “Buddy” Bradford, 64, of Homerville, passed away Sunday (May 1, 2016) at Malcom Randall Veterans Hospital in Gainesville, Fla., after an extended illness.
He was born Dec. 31, 1951, in Palm Beach County, Fla. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Marie Hazelbaker-Bradford, and his parents, John B. and Rebecca E. Wilkinson-Bradford.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Tammie (Kevin) Boswell, of Steinhatchee, Fla., Carrie (Shawn) Williams, of Bradenton, Fla., Kayla Bradford, of Homerville; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters and brothers-in-law, Domma (Tommy) Turner, of Duelle, Fla., Gail (Dave) O’Brien, of Lenoir, N.C., Martha Ann (Ray) McCaskill, of Bradenton, Fla., Margaret Bradford Rodrigues, of Lexington, Ky.; and several nephews and extended family members.
As per his wishes, his body will be cremated and no formal service will be held.

A funeral for Grace Jordan was held Tuesday morning in the Music Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Johnny Lee officiating.
Burial was in Rome Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Eric Edenfield, Danny Jordan, Malcolm Justice, Johnny Milton, David Taylor and George Taylor.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
