Janice Marie Cooper
Janice Marie Cooper, 56, passed away Tuesday (May 17, 2016).
She passed away after a brief illness in Orlando, Fla., of which she resided.
Her sister, J. Carol Cooper Grant (husband, Michael Grant), will announce final plans to the community.
Her uncle and aunt, Houston and Ora Cooper, are also immediate relatives.

Tony Cox, 55, died Thursday (May 19, 2016) at his residence in Waycross following an extended illness.
He was born in Waycross and lived here all of his life. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years with Littlefield Construction and most recently worked for Forrest Griffin blueberry farm.
He was a son of the late John Cox and was also preceded in death by his brother, Hank Cox.
He is survived his daughter, Hope Hersey (husband, Greg), of Blackshear; a son, Marlon Stone; two grandchildren, Austin Morris and Braden Morris; his mother, Mary Chancey, of Waycross; a sister, Lorrie O’Berry, of Waycross; a brother, Gideon Cox (wife, Geneva), of Jamestown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He attended Ware Baptist Church.
A funeral will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Swamp Road Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Swamp Road Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning at the church from 9 until 10 o’clock.
Music Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Dudley C. Gahan
Dudley C. Gahan, 86, of Waycross died Thursday afternoon (May 19, 2016) at Waycross Health & Rehab after an extended illness.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
Randy H. Bennett
Randy H. Bennett, 51, went to his eternal home on Tuesday (May 17, 2016).
He was born Aug. 25, 1964 in Jacksonville, Fla. He grew up in Brantley County and made the Jacksonville area his home since 1989.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was also a business owner and spent the last 10 years with TJX Company. He loved his role as a devoted husband and father. His greatest joys were his wife, children, grandchildren, Jacksonville Jaguars, NASCAR and his love of the ocean.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Jenny; daughters, Jennifer (Charles), and Jericka (Justen); and son, Logan (Alicia); his two beautiful grandchildren, Abigail and Zoey; his mother, Linda Fowler (Franklin) Roberson; his brother, Craig (Kim); numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger H. Bennett.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Quinn Shalz Funereal Home, 3600 Third St. South, in Jacksonville Beach, Fla.
Emmie Altman Pittman
A funeral for Emmie Altman Pittman was held Thursday morning at Grace Community Church of God with the Rev. Larry Altman, Pamela Carter and the Rev. Ion Johns officiating.
Burial followed in Hoboken City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Luke Pittman, Austin Perkins, David Pittman, Danny Squires, Lester Roberts, Melvin King, David Bell, Storm Squires and Leonard Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers were her grandsons and great-grandsons.
Miles-Odum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
