Patricia Dianne Scott
Patricia Dianne Scott, 63, of Waycross, died Friday morning (May 1, 2015) at Hospice Satilla Hospice House after a short illness.
She was born in Jesup to the late Leon Theodore Scott Sr. and Agnes Sorrow Scott and lived most of her life in Waycross. She was a homemaker and attended Full Gospel Center in Emerson Park.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Deborah Scott, and one brother, Leon T. Scott Jr.
Survivors include one daughter, Portia Myers (husband, Donnie), of Collins; one sister, Amanda Carter, of Waycross; friend, Tanya Carter, of Blackshear; five grandchildren, Patrice Dianna Herrin, of Waycross, Deborah Dawn McArthur, of Waycross, Shey Victoria Myers, of Collins, Donnie Romy Myers, of Collins, Cynthia Danielle Myers, of Collins; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral will be held Monday morning at 11 at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday morning from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Jerry Tector Corbett
Jerry Tector Corbett, 76, died early Friday morning (May 1, 2015) at Baptist Village Retirement Communities after and extended illness.
He was born Nov. 16, 1938 in Waycross to the late Earl Milton and Beryl Jeannette Bauman Corbett, formerly of Waycross.
He was a 1957 graduate of Waycross Senior High school and worked for CSX for 30 years just like his family before him including his great-grandfather, Tector Coster, who started working on the railroad in Wisconsin in 1862.
He was active in the community. He played piano for numerous church functions, funeral and marriages over the years. He was a member of Sweat Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of the Golden Agers Adult Sunday School Class.
For many years, he volunteered at Baptist Village calling bingo games for the residents twice a week. He had a great love of traveling and made many trips and cruises including Germany, Hawaii and the World’s Fair.
He taught himself to crochet left handed watching his grandmother and crocheted numerous afghans for friends and family. He crocheted an afghan for each of his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Winifred Inez Corbett Davis and her husband, Louie David Davis, and a brother, William E. Corbett, a nephew, Earl David Davis, and his wife, Phyllis Paye Davis and a nephew, Larry Michael Davis.
He is survived by sister-in-law, Mrs. William (Ophelia) Corbett, of Jacksonville, Fla., nieces and nephews, Mrs. Larry Michael (Patti) Davis, of Albany, Rosie Lowndes (Tommy), of Milledgeville, Jim Raynolds (Ginny), of Jacksonville, Fla., Holli Corbett (Anthony Brown), of Los Angeles, Calif.; great-nieces and nephews, Charles (Chuck) Davis, of Columbus, Shannon Davis Burch (Matthew), of Newton, Brett Michael Davis and Kendyl Ellen Davis, of Albany, Laura Lowndes Burch (Jason), of Milledgeville, Leah Lowndes, of Milledgeville, Luke Raynolds, Marta Raynolds and Mirian Raynolds.
A funeral will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends starting at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sweat Memorial Baptist Church, 510 Blackshear Ave., Waycross, Ga. 31501, or any other organization of one’s choice.

Savannah V. Curry
A funeral for Miss Savannah Victoria Curry took place Friday afternoon at River of Life Church with Pastor Clint Harris officiating.
Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
