Brenda H. Callahan
Brenda Henderson Callahan, 64, died suddenly Tuesday morning (March 1, 2016) at her residence in Blackshear.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. She was also owner and operator of Flowers by Brenda and was a member of Kettle Creek Church where she served as choir director.
She was the daughter of the late Reppard Henderson and Margaret Gibson Henderson. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dianne Johnson, and three brothers, Willie Ray Henderson, Donald Henderson and Wayne Henderson.
She is survived by her husband, Pastor Danny Callahan, of Blackshear; two daughters, Stephonie Callahan Goddard (husband, Chris), of Waycross, and Tisch Callahan Harris (husband, Jack), of Waycross; an adopted daughter, Debbie Stewart, of Waycross; five grandchildren, Dawson Goddard, Gracee Goddard, Teagan Harris, Jaxton Harris and Brody Harris; a god-child, Kaci Rowland, of Waycross; a sister, Betty Jackson (husband, Freddy), of Waycross; a brother, Charlie Henderson (wife, Linda), of Atlanta; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral will be held 11 a.m. today at Kettle Creek Church.
Burial will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
Visitation was held Thursday evening at Music Funeral Home.

Aaiden I. McClendon
Baby Aaiden Iveryonn McClendon, 6 months old, died Monday (Feb. 22, 2016) at 3 a.m. at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., following a brief illness.
He is survived by his mother, Asia Stanford; his father, Stanley McClendon, of Waycross; one sister, A’niyah Jade Weatherspoon; two grandmothers, Lisa Stanford and Angela McClendon, both of Waycross; two great-grandmothers, Evelyn Smithson and Elouise Strickland, of Waycross; one great-great-grandmother, Minnie McClendon, of Waycross; two grandfathers, Thomas McClendon, of Waycross, and Jackie McCray, of Jesup; three uncles, Tyberious McClendon, of Waycross, Avery Smithson, of Waycross, and Charles Smithson, of Waycross; two aunts, Erica Wesley, of Waycross, Cassada Rawls, of Jacksonville, Fla.; several cousins, other aunts, uncles and friends.
Friends are being received at the home of Evelyn Smithson, 1397 Barnar Lane, and Angelo McClendon, 1338 Paschal Road.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Barnar Memorial Garden.
Visitation will be held today from 5 to 7 o’clock at Welch & Brinkley Mortuary.

Sylvia Dell Roach
Sylvia Dell Roach, 68, of Ball Ground (formerly of Atlanta), peacefully bowed out of a fourth bout with cancer on Thursday (March 3, 2016).
She was born in Waycross, daughter of Owen Keefer and Winne (Curl) Dell Sr.
She graduated Waycross High School and attended Gulf Coast Community College. She later moved to Atlanta.
She was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Owen Keefer Dell Jr.
She is survived by daughters, Marcy Roach and Anna Ogle; three precious grandchildren; sisters, Rebecca Suitt, Susan Holden and Debbie Griffin.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.

Hazel Johnson Carter
A funeral for Hazel Johnson Carter was held Thursday afternoon at Crawford Street Baptist Church with the Rev. J.D. Bowen and the Rev. Larry Ray officiating.
Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joe Carter, McCoy Carter, Gary Johnson, Lamar Johnson, Steve Johnson and Eric Wilkes.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
