Silas W. Jordan
S.W. Jordan, 73, died Thursday afternoon (March 24, 2016) at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup following an extended illness.
He was a native and life-long resident of Dixie Union, the son of the late Jacob Preston Jordan and Ada Jordan Jordan. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Doris Faye Pittman.
He was a former press operator with Ace Rubber Company, and was a member of Dixie Union Church of God where he was the former choir leader.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Linda Gail Jordan, of Dixie Union; two sons, Silas Scott Jordan, of Atlanta, and Michael Jordan (wife, Michelle), of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jessica Diane Mullins (husband, Stephen), of Gainesville, Shanon Haley Jordan, of Buford, Kevin Michael Jordan and Alexander Nicholas Jordan, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; a great-grandson, Avery Oliver Doss; a sister, Barbara Herrin (husband, Allen), of Blackshear; a brother, Charles Jordan (wife, Stella), of Stafford, Va.; three step-sisters, Sandy Tuten, of Dixie Union, Nora Peace, Linda James (husband, Tommy), all of Dixie Union; two step-brothers, Tommy Warren (wife, Pat), of Pensacola, Fla., and Darrell Edenfield, of Blackshear; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Music Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Tyson officiating.
Burial was in the Rome Cemetery of Dixie Union.
Pallbearers were Kevin Jordan, Don King, Phillip King, Harry Beauregard, Nathan James and Elmond King.

Ivory Lee Sallett, 62, died Saturday morning (March 26, 2016) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross after an illness.
Friends are being received at the Sallett residence, 818 Summit St.

Harold Durrance
Harold Durrance, 63, of Blackshear, died late Sunday night (March 27, 2016) at the Bacon County Hospital following a short illness.

Mildred P. Hamilton
A homegoing celebration for Mother Mildred Purnell Hamilton took place Saturday afternoon at Faithworks Church of God in Christ with Pastor Kathy Pierce presiding and Pastor Bessie James delivering the eulogy.
Burial took place in Hazzard Hill Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers were Bobby Bailey, Darren Durr, David Clark, Bobby Clark and Anthony Wilcox.
Honorary pallbearers were Glenndale Clark, Ross Prichett, Deacon Tony McKelvin, David Clark Jr. and Deacon Jimmy Moore Jr.
Arrangements were with Music Funeral Home.

Wayne Rayford Osburn
A funeral for Wayne Rayford Osburn was held Friday morning at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Derwin Griffin, the Rev. Richard Johnson and Mark Osburn officiating.
Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rayford Osburn, Wayne A. Osburn, Bennett Pittman, Caleb Pittman, Brantley Thrift and Ian Thrift.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were members of the Adult Men II Sunday School Class, Kim Clark and Marlon Pittman.
