Aiden I. McClendon
Baby Aiden Iveryonn McClendon, 6 months old, died Monday (Feb. 22, 2016) at 3 a.m. at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., following a brief illness.
He is survived by his mother, Asia Stanford; his father, Stanley McClendon, of Waycross; one sister, A’niyah Jade Weatherspoon; two grandmothers, Lisa Stanford and Angela McClendon, both of Waycross; two great-grandmothers, Evelyn Smithson and Elouise Strickland, of Waycross; one great-great-grandmother, Minnie McClendon, of Waycross; two grandfathers, Thomas McClendon, of Waycross, and Jackie McCray, of Jesup; three uncles, Tyberious McClendon, of Waycross, Avery Smithson, of Waycross, and Charles Smithson, of Waycross; two aunts, Erica Wesley, of Waycross, Cassada Rawls, of jacksonville, Fla.; several cousins, other aunts, uncles and friends.
Friends are being received at the home of Evelyn Smithson, 1397 Barnar Lane, and Angelo McClendon, 1338 Paschal Road.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Barnar Memorial Garden.
Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7 o’clock at Welch & Brinkley Mortuary.
Arrangements are with Welch & Brinkley.

Brenda Callahan
Brenda Henderson Callahan, 64, died suddenly Tuesday morning (March 1, 2016) at her residence in Blackshear.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. She was also owner and operator of Flowers by Brenda and was a member of Kettle Creek Church where she served as choir director.
Her parents were the late Reppard Henderson and Margaret Gibson Henderson. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dianne Johnson, and three brothers, Willie Ray Henderson, Donald Henderson and Wayne Henderson.
She is survived by her husband, Pastor Danny Callahan, of Blackshear; two daughters, Stephonie Callahan Goddard (husband, Chris), of Waycross, and Tisch Callahan Harris (husband, Jack), of Waycross; an adopted daughter, Debbie Stewart, of Waycross; five grandchildren, Dawson Goddard, Gracee Goddard, Teagan Harris, Jaxton Harris and Brody Harris; a god-child, Kaci Rowland, of Waycross; a sister, Betty Jackson (husband, Freddy), of Waycross; a brother, Charlie Henderson (wife, Linda), of Atlanta; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Kettle Creek Church.
Burial will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening at Music Funeral Home from 6 until 8 o’clock.

Eddie Carter, 66, died Tuesday night (March 1, 2016) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross after an extended illness.

Robert H. Fraley Sr.
Robert Henry Fraley Sr., 82, of Live Oak, Fla., passed away Sunday (Feb. 28, 2016).
The Waycross native moved to Live Oak 56 years ago from Norfolk, Va. He was a veteran of the Korean War while serving in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Florida Power Corp. in Live Oak for 52 years and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Fraley is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janice Fraley, Live Oak, Fla.; four daughters, Lisa (Robert) Pitts, Lake City, Fla., Marie Bugenske, Melbourne, Fla., Jennifer Markham, Lake City, Fla., Greta (Donald) Thornton, Live Oak, Fla.; one son, Robert (Karen) Fraley Jr., Live Oak, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He is fondly remembered by many in the community as “The Candy Man.” For the better part of 25 years he gave out candy to the little ones he encountered on a daily basis. He also gave to many in the restaurants and offices he visited regularly. His smile and joking nature won him many friends, young and old, and he would often say the candy was to “keep those around him sweet.”
A graveside service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Live Oak Cemetery with the Rev. Wally Weaver officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked donations be made to Haven Hospice, 6037 U.S. Highway 90 West, Lake City, Fla. 32055.

Ailene H. Corbitt
A funeral for Ailene Henderson Corbitt was held Tuesday morning at Music Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Pittman and the Rev. Richard Jeffers officiating.
Burial followed in Mt. Green Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jarrod Clifton, Jordan Clifton, Brandon Corbitt, Hunter Corbitt, Will Corbitt and Timmy Cox.
