A man was injured in a rearend collision Thursday on Wadley Road just north of Anita Street, said a Georgia State Patrol spokesman.
James Cox, 26, of Waycross, was transported for treatment of an injury as a result of the 5:35 p.m. accident, said Steve Drury, GSP spokesman.
Cox was traveling south in his 2006 Ford Explorer, slowing down to stop at the Anita Street intersection, when a 2000 Acura also traveling south on Wadley, driven by Misty Carter, 28, of Waycross, struck the Explorer in the rear, Drury said.
Carter was charged with following too closely and driving on a suspended license, Drury said.
Trooper J. Robinson investigated the accident.
