Jerome Hanchey, 52, died suddenly Thursday (June 2, 2016) at Southeast Georgia Medical Center in Brunswick.

Cassandra Gordon
Cassandra Gordon, 66, of 303 W. 11th St., Alma, passed away Monday (May 30, 2016) at her residence with loved ones at her bedside.
The family is receiving friends at the residence. A visitation will be held this evening from 6 until 8 o’clock at Grace Covenant Community Church, 1497 W. 12th St., Alma, where Pastor Dale Carver is the pastor, and Pastor Stephon Deen of First African Baptist Church will offer the words of comfort.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the same location.
The cortege will assemble at the residence at 10 a.m. and burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 29, 1949 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., to Louis McClutchin and the late Mary Ann Brown McClutchin. She attended the schools of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
She was one of seven children, Louise Cheney, of Statesboro; Annie Doris Brown, of Waycross, Robert Lee Brown, of Albany, Juanita Brown, Denise Brown, James Brown and Eddie Brown, all of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
She always enjoyed reading her Bible. Later in life she met and married Minister James Gordon and to this union three children were born, Eric Gordon (Natasha Fuller), Deric (LaTanya) Gordon and Howard (Latasha) Gordon; adoptive children, Kenneth and Robin Ellerbee, Cynthia Kennedy and Lassie Brinson; special friend, Mary Sellers.
She will be missed by her loving husband, nieces, nephews, cousins other family members and all of her great friends.
Arrangements are with Rainge Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Carolyn H. Godwin
BLACKSHEAR — The funeral for Carolyn Lucille Hickox Godwin, 76, was held Thursday morning at 11 o’clock in the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Officiating were the Rev. Edward Colley and the Rev. Edward Hurst.
Interment was in the Blackshear Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Justin Peacock, Jonathan Goodin, James Roberson, Storm Peacock, Dylan Johnson and Paul Davis.
Pearson-Dial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
