Louis S. Justice
Louis S. Justice, 62, died Friday (June 17, 2016) at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., following an extended illness.
He was born in Savannah, but resided in Waycross the past 20 years. He was a former truck driver for 33 years and a member of Swamp Road Baptist Church.
He was a son of the late Carson Bagby Justice and Mary Solomon Justice.
He is survived by his wife, Donna M. Justice, of Waycross; three children, Andy Cox (Wendy), of Waycross, Billy Cox Jr. (Laura), of Waycross, and Hunter Cox (Amaris), of Waycross; five grandchildren, Andrew Cox, Jacob Moore Cox, Annabelle Cox, Billy “Trey” Cox III and Hudson Cox; a sister, Lucile Stewart (Harry), of Port Wentworth; two brothers, Carson Justice (Janice), of Melbourne, Fla., and Hugh Justice, of Savannah; a special niece, Amber Joyner, of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Swamp Road Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Swamp Road Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening at Music Funeral Home from 6 until 8 o’clock.

Bruce Moss, the son of Helen Moss, passed away suddenly Friday morning (June 17, 2016).
The funeral will be held Saturday.

Guinelle Morris Bennett Bearden, 97, died Friday night (June 17, 2016) at Crestview Regional Medical Center in Monroe.
She was born in Uvalda, but lived most of her life in Waycross, although she was currently residing with her son in Monroe. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, UDC, DAR and the Pinecone Garden Club. She led a full and active life and was also an accomplished artist and world traveler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Morris, her husband, Horace Bearden, two sisters, Aletha Morris and Mildred Durant, and her grandson-in-law, Kevin Crews.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Lester Lamar Bennett III; and four grandchildren, Lester Lamar Bennett IV (wife, Penny), Morris Pafford Bennett, C.G. Bennett Furman (husband, Doug), Elizza Bennett Crews, and their mother, Catherine Pafford Bennett; six great-grandchildren, Ty and Clay Bennett, Hailey and Savannah Furman, Lars Rosa and Wyatt Crews; close family friends, Luis Martinez, Lance Green, Dr. Jose’ Soler and Mazie Williams; two nieces, Jeanne Findley (Ernest), and their children and family, and Carla Hartley (Pete) and their children and family.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday (June 22, 2016) at Grace Episcopal Church with a celebration of life following the service in the social hall

A.C. Wade, 88, of Alma, passed away suddenly at Bacon County Hospital Friday (June 17, 2016).
He was born May 25, 1928 to the late Peyton L. and Mamie (Sweat) Wade. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Marvin, Clayton, J. D. Harold and Vernon Wade, and three sisters, Jessie Mae Carter, Leola Smith and Luna White.
He retired from Scapa Dryers (Voight) after 38 years. In the past he served his community as an auxiliary policeman, volunteer fireman and an ambulance driver, also was a charter member of Southside Church of God.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Dewayne Hughes Wade, of Alma; two children, Andy Wade (Kim, Griffin), of Manor, and Leah (Stephen) Wade Curtis, of Vidalia; two sisters, Arlene Good, and Alma, and Bonnie Brooks, of Thomson; four grandchildren, Andria Snyder (Caleb) and Erin Hartigan (Ben), of Bellevue, Neb., Jason Curtis and Stacey Curtis, of Atlanta; one step-granddaughter, Mindy Lawson, of Manor; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Wade and Makayla Hartigan, both of Bellevue, Neb.; and two step-great-grandchildren, Baylee and Anthony Lawson, of Manor.
The funeral was scheduled for 11 o’clock this morning at Southside Church of God with the Rev. Mark Carver, the Rev. Jimmy Lord and the Rev. Steve Hughes officiating.
Interment will follow in Corinth Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southside Church of God Building Fund, 102 Taylor Road, Alma, Ga. 31510.
Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Smith, Ronald Wade, Ray White, Windell Smith, Lynn Porter and Danny Turner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hardees’s Breakfast Group, Abe and Barbara Richardson and Gerald and Daphne wooden.

BLACKSHEAR — A memorial service for Travis Lamar Bowen, 70, was held Friday evening at 6 o’clock in the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.
Officiating was Mavis Hughes.
Memorialization was by cremation.
Pearson-Dial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
