Brenda Gail Murray
Brenda Gail Murray, 66, died Thursday morning (July 23, 2015) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross where she lived as a homemaker. She owned and operated the Tomato House.
She was a member of Pebble Hill Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Lena Conner.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Murray, of Waycross; two daughters, Gail Rowland (James), of Waycross, and Brandi Rigsby (Cordie), of Nicholls; one son, Ray Murray, of Waycross; three grandchildren, Kaleb Smith, Joey Smith and Murray Rowland; one great-grandchild, Cason Smith; one sister, Connie Crego, of Slidell, La.; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Music Funeral Home Chapel.

BLACKSHEAR — Thomas Haven “Tommy” Roberts Jr., 66, of Blackshear, died Wednesday night (July 22, 2015) at the Southeast Georgia Health Systems in Brunswick following an extended illness.
Born July 13, 1949 in Waycross, he was a son of the late Thomas Haven Roberts Sr. and Mary Azalee Dowling Roberts. He had lived most of his life in Blackshear and was a 1967 graduate of Blackshear High School.
He had worked as a dispatcher for the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department under Sheriff Noah Strickland but retired in 2013 as a tax appraiser with the Pierce County Tax Assessors Office.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Becky Brown Roberts, of Blackshear; his brother, Billy Roberts (wife Margaret), of Hoboken; his sister, Deborah Buckins (husband Ronnie), of Alma; his nieces and nephews, Lisa Walker (husband Mark), of Blackshear, Scotty Roberts (wife Brandy), of Waycross, Amber Buckins, of Douglas, Courtney Barnard, of Waynesville, and Angela Hill (husband Keith), of Alma; and several great-nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the High Bluff Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Ballard Hyden, 65, died Thursday (July 23, 2015) at his residence following an extended illness.

A funeral service for Beatrice Lee Todd was held Thursday morning at Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Guy and the Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating.
Burial followed in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Eric Crews, Kelly Strickland, Justin Hall, Shawn Todd, Brandon Spicer and David Bennett.
Miles-Odum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

A funeral service for Curtis Dewitt Wood Sr. was held Thursday morning at Music Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Price and Elder Bill Mullis officiating.
Burial followed at Greenlawn Cemetery. Military rites were given by the United States Navy.
Pallbearers were Griffin Hendrix, Gunter Hendrix, Neal Hendrix, Kevin Jones, Butch Roberson, Kenneth Wood and Allie Martinez.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
