Tydrick Cornelius Coley, 29, was taken into custody by Ware County lawmen and charged with obstruction of an officer, criminal trespass, burglary, cruelty to a child and simple battery, said Skerratt.
Deputy Tony Yeomans responded to a call at the house at 1:30 Friday morning and was told that the man initially entered through a bathroom window.
A woman in the house screamed at the intruder to get out and ran to another room, shutting the door behind her, said Skerratt. The man then fled on foot and returned a few minutes later, kicking open a front door.
Skerratt said Coley forced one person outside, pushed another person in the house causing an abrasion to that person’s chin and hit a young boy in the mouth.
“The call first came in about a burglary and deputies talked to the female at the house. She said the man had come in a window. Deputies found evidence where the man used a shower curtain to pull himself in through the window,” said Skerratt. “They also found evidence of the door jamb being cracked, and in a short time they found the man hiding in some bushes near the house. He was handcuffed and placed in the patrol car to be taken to the jail.”
He was still in jail on Friday, Skerratt said.
