Waycross Police executed four search warrants and served numerous arrest warrants for illegal drug sales cases Saturday, arresting 10 people on various drug charges, said Waycross Police Chief Tony Tanner.
About 4 a.m. Saturday, law enforcement officials began the operation, their first stop at 1405 Pine St.
Alyssa Atkins and Demarcus Green were arrested there, charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, manufacturing crack cocaine, possession of a Schedule IV drug, possession of a Schedule IV drug with intent to distribute, said Tanner.
Atkins was also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, Tanner said.
Green was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon during certain crimes, said Tanner.
Green was also charged with two counts of sale of cocaine which were charges made for offenses in which warrants were obtained previously as part of the investigation leading to the search warrant, said Tanner.
Another search warrant was served at 1407 Pine St, Tanner said, where Shawn Flannigan and Doris Bell were arrested, both charged with possession of cocaine. Tanner said Bell is additionally charged with the two counts of sale of cocaine for warrants that were previously obtained as part of the investigation.
Another search warrant was served at 1101 Suwannee Drive. Tanner said Rodrick Rawls, Terria Storey and Shaterrika Storey were arrested there and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute as a result of the search warrant.
Warrants for two counts of sales of cocaine were also served on Rawls at the time of his arrest, Tanner said. These warrants were obtained previously as part of the investigation leading to the search warrant.
The final search warrant was served at 503 Cherokee Ave., Lot 32, in Ware County.
Tanner said Demetrius LeSean Hall was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana as a result of the search warrant. Hall is also charged with sale of cocaine and sale of marijuana.
Tanner said these charges were made from warrants obtained previously as part of the investigation leading to the search warrant.
Also arrested were Kendrick Simpson and Justin Moore, both of whom had warrants on them for the sale of cocaine, Tanner said.
All of those arrested were booked into the Ware County jail on the charges, Tanner said.
Waycross police were assisted by Ware County deputies, Tanner said.
