One driver was slightly injured when two vehicles collided Tuesday in the intersection of Riverside Drive and Alice Street, said Waycross Police Capt. Tommy Cox.
Ronzie Patterson, 69, of Waycross, complained of injury but declined treatment, said Cox.
Driving a 2016 Buick Enclave, Patterson was westbound on Riverside Drive approaching the intersection which is governed by a four-way stop sign. A 2013 Toyota Prius driven by Amanda Beecher, 38, of Waycross, was headed north on Alice Street, approaching the intersection.
Both drivers claimed to have the right-of-way, said Cox.
Cox said Beecher told police she had stopped at the stop sign and allowed a car to clear before she proceeded into the intersection, then was halfway through the crossing when her car was hit on the passenger side by the Patterson vehicle. Patterson said she had allowed two vehicles to go through and it was her turn when she entered the intersection.
“It was inconclusive as to who was at fault,” said Cox.
