DOUGLAS — An arrest has been made in connection with the murders of a man and woman on Meadowbrook Lane here, according to the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department.
Wallace Lee, 42, was taken into custody Friday afternoon and charged with two counts of malice murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, said a sheriff’s spokesman.
Lee is accused of killing Meghan Bowen, 33, and James Harden, 39, on Thursday. Lawmen believe that Lee had a previous relationship with Bowen, the spokesman said.
Lee was being held in the Coffee County jail.
The bodies of Bowen and Harden were found at the Meadowbrook Lane house Thursday after deputies were summoned to the residence.
Lawmen said Bowen and Harden had only resided at Meadowbrook Lane for a short time, possibly two months.
