‘Bebe’ McQuaig
Lynda Nell “Bebe” Robbins McQuaig, 70, of Waycross died Wednesday evening (Dec. 23, 2015) at her residence after a lengthy illness.
She was born in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Dr. Allen Isaac and Mary Ann Pittard Robbins, while her father was serving in the military. She grew up in Homerville and spent the majority of her adult life in Waycross.
She earned her nursing degree from Emory University. She worked as a nurse at Clinch Memorial Hospital, taught registered nursing classes at South Georgia College and at Satilla Regional Medical Center. She also worked at Memorial Hospital, later Satilla Regional Medical Center, all through the nursing ranks, from house supervisor to nurse manager for critical care.
In 2000, she retired from nursing, and became known as “Gigi” when her first grandchild was born. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles W. Robbins Sr. and Allen Isaac “Bubba” Robbins Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Richard McQuaig, of Waycross; three children, Butch McQuaig (wife, Casey), of Millwood, David McQuaig (wife, Misty), of Homerville, Marci Johnson (husband, Andy), of Waycross; six grandchildren, Drew Johnson, Mac Johnson, Maddey McQuaig, Cole McQuaig, Maggie McQuaig and Maeley McQuaig; one sister, Jan Rhodes (husband, Roy), of Valdosta; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at Trinity United Methodist Church.
A private family burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon beginning at 1:30 at the church.

The family requests that her former co-workers serve as honorary pallbearers. They are asked to meet at the church by 2:40 p.m. Sunday for the service.

‘Junior’ Fullard
James “Junior” Fullard Sr., 93, of Waycross, died Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 23, 2015) at his daughter’s residence after an extended illness.
He was born in Waycross to the late John Fullard and Mamie Gooden Fullard. He made Ware County his home for his entire life. He graduated from Wacona High School and went on to serve during World War II in the United States Army.
He worked for Atlantic Seaboard Coastline, now CSX Railroad, as a machinist for 26 years before his retirement in 1969. During his time with the railroad and after his retirement, he stayed busy working on his farm.
A faithful Southern Baptist, he was a founding member of Ware Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Waycross Masonic Lodge No. 305 F&AM, the Waycross Shrine Club and was a past member of the Waycross Jaycees and the Waycross Exchange Club.
He also served as past president of the Satilla Livestock Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Thrift Fullard, who died in 2012.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Elmer Fullard, Ed Fullard, Herman Fullard, Mose Fullard, Mitchell Fullard, Maggie Fullard, Emma Fullard and Cecil Fullard.
He is survived by his children, Timmy Fullard (wife, Marina), of Atlanta, Ricky Fullard (wife, Laura), of Waycross, Mamie McDonald (husband, Neal), of Waycross, Vickie Thrift (husband, Larry), of Millwood, Bud Fullard (wife, Bobbi Jean), of Waycross, Andy Fullard (wife, Adena), of Lawrenceville, Chris Fullard, of Waycross; his grandchildren, Kristina Fullard, Emily Fullard, Little Ricky Fullard, Cassie Fullard, Jennifer Henderson, Megan Henderson, Misty Burchett (husband, James), Hannah Scott (husband, Logan), Kylie Carter (husband, Paul), Brandon Fullard (wife, Megan), Austin Fullard, Anna Bennett (husband, Justin), Ashley McDonald; his great-grandchildren, Addie Hewett, Reese Hewett, Brody Burchett, Bailey Fullard, Cole Fullard, Harper Fullard, Sieanna McDonald, Blake Paulk, Eli Fullard, Hatalie Henderson, Bodie Bennett; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. today in Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Peggy Jean Horton
Peggy Jean Batten Horton, 84, of Waycross died Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 23, 2015) at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House after an extended illness.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Miles-Odum Funeral Home.

Dennis Basile
A memorial service for Dennis Basile, 70, was held Wednesday evening at Music Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ashley Corbett and Elder Bill Mullis officiating.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
